At the beginning of the month my friend Ari and I made a quick trip up to Sequoia to see some BIG trees.  Of course I had to get her to hug a few for my ongoing "Treehugger" series. Although there wasn't any snow the temperature in the morning was hanging just above freezing, so the trails were pretty empty.  This give us a chance to shoot a bunch with a couple trees that particularly called out to us, and also she wanted to do a sort of elf cosplay with a beautiful lacy dress she had recently purchased and some realistic elf ears.  I was happy to oblige, as I knew she'd also be happy to do her elf character without the dress, and I had never seen a naked elf in person before! Hah! All the long dead grass in the Log Meadow was covered with frost as she stood in the early morning sun, surrounded by trees hundreds of feet high. It was a pretty impressive sight.  My $5-$15+ Patrons will get a lot more of this series before the end of the month!
