I was out at my favorite tide pools to shoot some fashion/ lookbook kind of stuff for some friends' clothing line last weekend.  The shoot had come about talking to a stylist/ make up artist I had met at my wife's art opening earlier in the month. She suggested shooting a friend of her who is looking to get into modeling, so we arranged to spend spend a day at the pool and hit the tide pools at sunset.

We actually got lucky with a solid sunset and high tide that had waves crashing over the rocks, so the model, Genesis, was looking kind of fantastic.

The only problem for me was that her friend, who was supposed to be assisting, was so taken by the warm water and the beauty of the tide pools that she had ripped her all clothes off and was exploring the pools off to our left.  I was trying to capture those precise moments when the waves crashed over the Genesis, but kept getting distracted by her friend who had suddenly become the embodiment of my alter ego as this naked mermaid nymph creature!  I couldn't decide what to shoot, and kept going back and forth back and forth (which was hugely difficult for the exposure). Too much varied beauty in a single moment!!

I will post more from the resulting triple shoot (we also shot in underwater in the pool before the tide pools) for my $5-$20 patrons in the coming weeks.
