Checking in... (Patreon)

Alright folks, I know i probably won't get much (or any) feedback here, and that is ok (I support models and photographers here on Patreon myself and am not super vocal), but I thought I would make one post regarding this patreon project of mine now that i am about 6 months into it, and touch on a couple things.

• First: I have been making a bunch of posts the last week, trying to get back on the ball.  The two months I wasn't able to focus on this project due to an intense period in my actual job (as one half of kozyndan). I lost a lot of pledges, but am really grateful to those who have stuck around and am trying to make up for it with a blast of posting that will  continue a into October.  I appreciate your patience!

   

• Second: I made a slight but significant adjustment to the tier rewards that will affect several of my Patrons. I pushed the mailed print reward to the $25 tier instead of the $20.  To be honest i never got much response to the prints. Only one person ever wrote to say they appreciated receiving it, or expressed liking it, and several patrons who are subscribed to the $20 Tier specifically asked me NOT to send them any physical print in the mail, that they only signed up at $20 for access to the Archive sets.  Which also made me realize I was offering 2 extra rewards for the particular $5 jump in pledge whereas I was adding only one reward to the $5 and $10 tiers, if that makes sense.  Lastly - it was a LOT more expensive than $5 dollars a person per month to make and ship those prints - so I am losing money each month on them.  This is why I realized I needed to shift the mailing of physical 4x6 inch prints to a tier higher, so that i am at least not losing money on them each month.  I am sorry to those affected by this that really did like receiving the prints, but I hope you understand that this patreon thing is new for me and I am working out the kinks to see what benefits us all.

 

•  Third: this is probably something I should just look up, but all of you know the answer to this - are you receiving an email each time i make a post you have access to?  I don't actually know if this is the case, but if not I would like to change whatever setting I need to to make sure you are being alerted by mail and can therefore access the images linking directly out of your email. I want to ensure everyone is getting the content they have paid for.
