Greetings,

"On Your Marks" showed us a lot about how to follow up on discovering your talent, especially those that are geared towards helping others. With that in mind, I'd like to talk about what it means to expand on what you can already do. As well as the consequences for failing to do so.

Some people have called me a jack of all trades. Although there are a lot of things I have learned how to do, I wouldn't call myself particularly good at any of them. But that's just from a lack of focus. Despite this, everything that I have learned has always stemmed from a few core passions that I've had.

From writing, I learned about the various aspects of storytelling as well as multidimensional thinking. My study of biblical scripture gained me an understanding of right and wrong, which helped me learn how to both avoid and solve many personal and interpersonal problems. From fencing, I've learned about choreography, fitness, nutrition, self-defense and how to teach all of it. From photography, I've learned about art, editing and film. From studying film, I've learned about sound, construction, carpentry, woodworking, metalworking, electricity, sewing and even business.

All of these skills have come in handy in helping myself as well as at least a dozen other people. Yet the only thing that could possibly separate myself from everyone else is the fact that I strive to understand and implement my full potential.

Be sure to let me know what you think.
