Why does this keep happening to me!? Perhaps I need to get my workaholism looked into.

Seriously, how does Discord think all the Apples look the same? I don't even know what type of foul to call on that. They're all a horse of a different color.

This was a strange episode, that's for sure. But I'm starting to believe that's simply the nature of Discord episodes. I enjoyed it well enough where most others didn't.

Although I don't understand the level of dislike, I can see where they're coming from. With the story of what exactly happened never being explicitly shown or properly explained, people are often left curious. That on top of the fact that inside jokes are rarely funny to those outside of who experience them, it could leave something to be desired.

However, I think it's kind of clever. The story is obviously (to me, at least) being told through Twilight's perspective - who is incapable of understanding what's going on and why it's funny with the given circumstances. Leaving the audience in the dark on this as well causes us to sympathize with her. If that was the intention, it might have just worked too well - judging from the general fandom's reaction.

The lesson woven into this episode is by far my favorite part of it. But that's a topic for the next video.
