Greetings,

In returning from the two-month hiatus, we've got one heck of a moral. Where most of season four episodes had two morals that intertwined with each other, this had at least three. I haven't seen anything like it since "Twilight Time." But beyond even that episode, this episode managed to realistically convey conflicts commonly seen between artists, corporate managers and the consumer public (what is it about this episode that motivates such drastic amounts of alliteration?).

So today I'd like to talk about the three main ones that I noticed. One being what it means to be a successful artist in the business sense along with what happens when we burn ourselves out and how to avoid it. Another, addressing the customer, on the implications of what happens when you materialistically follow a trend. The third, addressing overambitious business partners.

However, something that shouldn't be taken away from this episode is that repetition is bad for an artist. To the degree that was shown in this episode and the purpose that it was made for? Definitely. But outside of this context, repetition is the practice that makes perfect. Without it, what was once difficult can never become easy. Thus we can never challenge ourselves and open the door to the next level of our skills.

Be sure to let me know what you think.

Thanks to cAPS lOCK for his help with today's script.
