Greetings,

Today, we'll be discussing another topic I've had on my back burner for a couple of months. While it was only that long since this topic was formally suggested to me, it's something that I've wanted to cover since I started making videos and I finally feel the time is right.

My admiration for "Friendship is Magic" comes from how closely I could relate to the lessons as a Christian. Most other shows destructive behavior as good and normal in most of it's characters and stories - sometimes even lionizing them.

However, being involved in a largely atheistic fandom, I've a number of conversations where the other party rescinded civility at either the mention of these thematic correlations.

Though I was able to ask around and confirm that the Herd Census contains a question about religious affiliation for its participants, I was not able to find any results or statistics. I reached out to them for help but did not receive a response of any kind. If anyone knows this, I'd be very grateful to know as well.

I would like to show that these similarities are much bigger and closer than most people realize and encourage a further discussion. In addition; I'd hoped to bring to light a common issue with not just analysts but bronies in general. Let's see if we can figure out how big of a problem this is and work towards a solution.
