 Hello, everyone!

For the last couple of weeks I've been working on the sex system extensively. It was partly redesigned in many ways so I'll quickly go through the changes and motivation behind it. 

Firstly, consent system is back, but instead of one time consent, every action has a consent now. But not only that, consent is influenced by many things, like features or relationship with the partner, traits, effects (alcohol helps) and other participants (group actions will be harder to get consent for, unless they have specific traits). If consent isn't met, the action will be highlighted as red and will consume obedience on attempt. It will also be less effective in terms of getting Horny status. Higher consent, on the other hand, will increase arousal by up to 30%. Lastly, slaves will attempt to fight back based on their personality and can be dealt with subdue/ropes in same way as in first game. 

Consent will be acquired from some discipline actions(praise/punish), and positive interaction outcome. Attempting new actions or trying various poses will also improve consent gain.

This isn't much, but it gives so more depth in behavior so freshly recruited characters won't instantly agree to take everything from you. 

Secondly, sex skills now replace old 'Sexuals' stat. These are fairly straightforward: you do action, you increase your skill. The higher Sexuals Factor is, the higher the gain. The number is fairly low and is shared by categories: Petting, oral, anal, vaginal, penetration and couple extra. In terms of old 'Sexuals' stat, it will be calculated by 3 highest sex skills when required by jobs/skills. Some related items will be rebalanced. It might sound a bit grindy, so I made skill gain reasonably simple. Sex skills will improve partner's arousal gain by more than twice when maxed. 

Thirdly, a couple of negative sex traits has been added, while others has been rebalanced greatly. Negative traits will be reducing consent and horny status gain making each character effectively having some preferences which makes approach to them more unique. It will be possible to add new traits or remove negative ones after some time. 

Lastly, I've added a few new actions and fixed some of the descriptions. I was planning to redesign dialogues more, but I don't think I have enough will for it at this time. Frankly speaking, interaction system can be improved a LOT, but it heavily relies on both writing and code.

It's been a while since last release, but I haven't been working on the story yet, although I have some neat plans for that. Initially I was thinking about making a release as I polish the new interaction features, but I know that many actually waiting for the content releases, so I also have my doubts now. So, I'm making a vote if people want gameplay feature releases now, or I'll take another few weeks to add more story/quests content.

I think a quick release to give the new features a test would be a good idea. They might need some adjustment that isn't apparent until more people have tried them. Of course I don't want new content delayed either.

In the first game, one particular aspect that I feel is severely lacking is dialogue. It makes interaction with NPCs a purely mechanical experience. Enter sex scene, spam a button, rinse, repeat. Arics expansion adds a lot in that aspect, even rape after combat becomes a little more personal then just a mechanic to refill a bit of mana. I do agree that writing this much dialogue would be a lot of work. Consider maybe partnering with some one? Fenoxo been doing text based games for a while, his work is rather..... creative. But the games are purely text based (very little graphics). Check out Corruption of Champions and Trails in Tainted Space for examples. The other option is to make a system for dialogue modable. Aka people can add their own dialogue and the system will pick what it believes is appropriate based on XYZ factors. It will require more from you on design and coding part though.

There's been no very serious changes yet. I do plan to make quick release a day or two prior actual release to catch the most apparent bugs though.

I do want to add something with dialogues in future, but right now there's not even dialogue option exists. The biggest issue with it, is that you can either add very basic phrases applied to every character (since characters are randomly generated), or you have to make some sort of monstrous system like the one I've started with random chatter you can see at top right corner, which is based on character and has more options. I could partner with someone but I also have a rather bad case of perfectionism when I'm really strict about the stuff I'd be willing to add. In either case, the mod system for sequel should let new phrases to the chatter easily, as for branching dialogue, I don't think I want to do exactly that again.

I would not wish for a pushed early test build, but having a more "sandboxy" environment where there's less things to go wrong is better for testing purposes. So I would release a build with only gameplay changes even if I did have a storyline build ready. It's easier for us testers to identify what went wrong when there's less things to do.

I'd like for an option where if you manage to get your slave horny but disobedient, they take out their sexual frustrations on you, but that's just wishful thinking.

Tbh, it is possible to implement, but on other hand the more I work on the sex system the more I realize how much it can be theoretically expanded and improved. Sadly, I can't devote all my work only to it and I don't think anyone else would dare to tackle with it while also having necessary writing skills. I hope eventually this will change or at least I'll be able to get back to it and improve it further.

I want to see something now, not later. I know other people are saying "take all the time in the world" but no. Please show us some progress!

This is understandable, hence why I made a vote for it. Maybe I should make an experimental version release which will not be addressed regularly in terms of bugs .
