So far enjoying the writing- laughed out loud a couple times. I'm not sure how far in you're supposed to be able to get in the demo- I can't get anywhere past where you get the worker from the mayor. I might be doing something wrong though :)

Oh man. Great start! I really like Rose. She is cute and has the right kind of humor :D. Also i feel a bit bad for her but it is an interesting dynamic that is going on here. Played till the end of the search for elves just to die on the last fight. I have to stop for now but I am curious how it will develop further. Btw: Did you switch engine or is this still Godot? Anyway.. the UI looks really good. A bit development on the usability side and this is going to be great. Nice work!

I finished the Demo and enjoy it really. I like the aspect of Managing a small settlement. I hope this aspect gets a little bit more attention. But so far it works great. No Bugs, UI is simple and clean, Crafting system is really nice ( i like to combine the materials to get different items). Thats why I follow you.

Not sure if this is a great place for bug reports, but here goes: 1. Not exactly a bug report, but there's no tutorial for using items for mining - I spent quite a while trying to figure out why I couldn't confirm a mining assignment for workers. 2. Combat is sometimes screwed up, namely in that one or more characters will appear on the field, but won't have their turn recognized, and will mechanically not be in the game (most recently had Rose and Erika in the back line behind Ember and Arron, but the enemy were attacking Rose and Erika as if there was no front line. I was also having Ember not register, but Arron would). Saving/loading rarely has fixed the issue. (Secondarily, sometimes I'll have a *ton* of misses against an enemy that I feel shouldn't have that high of an evasion - the golems in the cave, for example. I've had all but one attack miss going across a full 4-person party sometimes, which feels wrong.) (Tertiarily, I'll often have four in a column on the victory screen, rather than three in one and one in the second column. Sometimes they'll be distributed properly, but I think only after a load, tbh.) 3. The worker's 'select item' menu sometimes doesn't appear, though the sound does play and hitting escape will close the invisible menu. No items appear to be selectable, though I haven't made any picks or axes, if those are usable... 4. I'm on fight 10/10 of the Escort Demitrius line, have completed said fight, and it's still there. Cutscene has run, but the assignment is still available at 10/10. 5. Can't sell crafted items. They'll appear in the market's 'sell' menu, but you can't confirm the sale. 6. Another 'not really a bug' thing, but some of the dialogue and narration is choppy, or uses poor grammar/word choice. I know that English isn't your first language, but just wanted to point it out. Overall, really excited to see where this goes!

Umm... yeah, about characters not counting for combat... I just tried going on a mission with only Ember and Arron and got an immediate Game Over. Also, now that I actually pay attention, weapons aren't sold, yes, but you get 10 gold every time you click 'confirm.'

Using the x64 bit version and the resolution of the game is higher then my screen? (can't see the bottom right of it)

We will add an option to turn on window mod. For now you can try to either change your OS resolution or you might have an enlargement UI enabled if you are using win10.

Is there a way to stop the game from opening two game windows? One actually containing the game and one a black box showing the boot-path? It's not a real bug, but it irritates me. That doesn't need to be visible.

I could disable it, but given we are in pre-alpha stage, and it's a console, it might provide a valuable feedback for tracking down game errors and crashes.

And i have a little bug to report The equipment menu for the workers sometimes doesnt show up. I still can equip a pickaxe for example but it does not show up,

Half the options in the menu can't be clicked on, happens randomly. Can't buy new workers, can't equip items, can't even save game, but I can still click the marketplace, the pause/speed time buttons, and purchase/sell. I can also select individual items in my inventory, but I can't click on the mayor's office, or save/load/options. Really annoying bug since I've lost progress twice due to this. Looks like the only option is to quit the game and boot it up again, and since you save when it happens...

Hey Maverik, i've found an other issue, slightly more serious this time: I was never able to use Aaron in battle after he was killed despite being restored to full health or spending extra time in the city. Please note that i didn't confirm this issue with the other characters

x64 version. Does not play with windows scaling that's needed for 4k displays - I can see the menu buttons, but on a second display I can see the hilt from the sword on the title display, everything else is lost. Doesn't support any normal key commands to toggle out of this crazy view, editing the settings.ini in AppData didn't let me put it into a window mode. The 'app style' things in windows aren't very fun to work with.

Characters that die in battle can't be used in any future battles. They still heal in town, can be equipped with items and moved to the party but they will never take actions and enemies will ignore them. They are essentially not there, you get a game over when the other characters die.

I can confirm it.... After Aaron dies in battle he will be unable to take action on the next battles. Tried changing slots with other character but no success... Tried removing and placing him back with no success. Tried only bringing him to explore and got a imediate Game Over.

Looking good, but im getting a lot of victory screen where nothing happen, lott dont drop and i can't click close, need to reload, over 3h it probably happened a good 12 times, not sure if its only on my side.

It happens to me too but ony when i fight a team of 2 dwarves.. looks like it can never generate the loot so cannot trigger close button and stuck

Getting a minor bug in 0.1.2 where I'll enter a new battle with damaged characters and while the numbers are correct (i.e., numerically, the damage carries over between fights), the health bar is maxed until damage is taken (Ember went from 130ish to 110/220, bar dropped from max to about mid).

Also, victory screen is still funny as far as portrait positions go. Haven't had the issue where one will appear in the rewards section, but I'll sometimes have 1 on one side and 3 on the other, or 2 and 2. They don't align with where the characters are on the battle screen.

Tip one: When stopped progressing because of no pick for miner, perhaps some mouseover tip on the greyed out confirm button saying something like "Craft Pickaxe first" or "Worker needs a pickaxe wielded." It's quite obvious if you know how the system work, but if you don't... Tip two: "Roam at Forest": When beating up a group with four in party, sometimes the party members spread out on the victory screen perfectly. Other times, they don't, and one of them cover the loot list instead, so you can't see what you got.

Linux. Unsure why, but the game freezes in full screen mode if an overlay (eg volume up) shows up. I can move the mouse and the game engine reacts to that, but the dialog cannot advance. Maybe set the default mode to windowed. ____ Copy edit suggestions: 1st section: "felt almost taken for granted" -> "is" 2nd section: Break sentence up (is a run on) 4th section: remove "as it happens in a monarchy" - unnecessary. "The first prince Norbert prepares to take the throne given his father's old age" 5th line: "Meanwhile, the 2<x> year old prince Arron remains nothing but trouble for his family." ..... "Aron recognized the signal, his servant, Rose, was instructed to give" - remove all of the commas in this sentence. They are unnecessary.

Request: tooltip delay option in UI (so I can set it to instant for hoverover) ___ Other: drop rate of rarer items is far too low (eg elf wood, elf ore). You get too much wood/cloth/low tier drop items that it isn't worth it to bother having workers farm/harvest for it. In 2 hours of grinding I've gotten 3 elf wood and 1 elf gold bar and 14 bronze goblin bars. Given you have to spend 10 bronze bars to upgrade a building, the grind is far too high. ___ Health bar shows as full when the health of the unit isn't actually at full (if previous battle ended with them at not 100% hp) in the next battle. ____ Evasion is straight up the best stat currently for crafted gear. _____ Yellow bonus effect in craft menu for weapons is unreadable.
