have you thought about having the sprites and background as separate? This way you can easily replace what is in the picture? This might have more time added to the project but it will make it so you can swap out what slaves are shown at the slave guild

There's some sprites (used mainly in dialogues), but speaking of this specific image, it will be used only as whole, as we don't really have an option to draw all possible slave variations like this so there's not much what can be swapped.
