For patrons who log into the DOTU website: I've gotten some security alerts from the DOTU website showing that users who didn't first make a free account are sometimes struggling to log back into the website, trying to use their email/password.

I recommend making a free account *before* using the "log in with Patreon" button.  If you use the "log in with Patreon" button first, the Patreon plugin will generate a generic user for you, and then you'll only be able to log in with the Patreon button from then on.  On the other hand, if you make an account first, you'll be able to log in with the Patreon button OR with your email/password OR with your username/password.
