Hi guys, currently done with the Rapevine A.I. above are some of her sprites but she is working as intended now ingame.

So Chris did his own rendition of Siggy below.(click the image for a larger view)

He also tried to emulate the my style for the face here beside his:

 

His anatomy drawing surely surpasses mine and he did an excellent job emulating my style and I did fail to provide him better references for Siggy.

Anyway, I did wanted to see how he does it first but as impressed as I am, there are still some pointers I needed him to rework, like Bloodhunters are really muscular which he recently corrected:

Below is a better reference I sent over for correction specially the way Siggy's hair is constructed.


I can't wait to see and show you the animated sketches for this indulge scene. I assume this is how Chris does his animations, so for an idea of what his animated sketches look like:

I saw a roadmap image in YT's (YummyTiger) campaign and I hope he does not mind if I borrow it. DO check out his kickass NSFW RPG Maker stuff!

Speaking of RPG Maker, Yoyo Games recently released an early version of GameMaker 2. As I am currently sick and tired of the limitations in Flash, I may switch to it after Divine Arms is done. I may even create the DASH edition there as a new game with Siggy, Mahalai and Ashe as main characters. But that's talk for another day.

Anyway, roadmap looks like this currently:


In-between Start and the recently finished Rapevine A.I., there were stuff I did not mention because we'll run out of space in the image and probably the reason I borrowed this progress style in the first place, because I lose track and sometimes forget to list the stuff I finish (heart drops, halocopter, spells rework etc), so we'll start on Stage Backgrounds for better progress update. Depending on the current task, it will take me at max a week to report the next progress.



███[ After Raw]███

I'll probably focus on the tutorial and iron out the story and writing. HentaiWriter and I will focus another week to polish that out while Chris continues to finish up the rest of the Biome 1 scenes. Do also check out HentaiWriter's campaign for Future Fragments. Awesome stuff right there. I hope to still collaborate with him on a different game after Divine Arms as that guy is very coordinated and managed. Unlike me. haha.

Anyway, the second Biome will be blighted lands, so expect some nastier enemies there. Depending on the DDD's, we may introduce Dark Siggy at that point right after polishing the story. We'll have polls and voting for new enemies by then.


Anyway, I'm glad and super happy to have someone talented to do the scenes while I further construct the game and thanks to your support as always. Anyway, 3:30 AM my time, so I'll reply to everything by tomorrow and enjoy the weekend, so by Monday, I can start working on the backgrounds.

The version of siggy that Chris made looks great :) thanks for the new info, especially the roadmap, gives some really good info on the progress.

I was actually thinking just the other day how cool it would be to have a roadmap in the style of YummyTiger. Perhaps this way of showing progress can continue for future updates as well. I was also really hoping we would finally get a playable demo before the 1 year anniversary of Divine Arms(27 Nov), but that seems impossible now. Are you ever going to hire someone to help with programming/game design, or at least someone who would do the stuff mentioned in the $3500 stretch goal? Even with the aid of an animator like Chris and some background artists, the remaining development aspects still seem like too much work for one man and it feels like it would take years to see Divine Arms completed at this rate. I still remember how you predicted at the start of this campaign that the whole base game would have been finished by now! Mind-boggling when you think about it! As for Siggy, after looking at the new rendition, I realised I'm definitely more used to your version (though the Bloodhunter looks great). Her body now seems smaller and more petite overall, which I think is in contrast to the way you draw her proportions. Apart from that, I would say that the other most glaring difference at the moment for me is...breast size. The new breasts seem a bit TOO realistic and almost saggy in comparison to what we've seen in the other scenes (and I'm not a fan of grossly oversized boobs either!), so perhaps this can be tweaked if others also agree with me? #bringbackSiggysboobs EDIT: Just saw the WIP animation and they actually seem fine there! P.S.: Who is this "Ashe" character you mentioned??

I have no complaints with the new siggy my self, but that just could be personal preference. I do approve of a road map.

Damn, it's really nice, Chris have a really... How do I put this "Charming" style ? Also, will we get multiple kind of style for the scene and art ? Or everything will follow one style ?

I cannot be unhappy about anything I've seen regarding Armin so far. He's got talent, plain and simple.

I like Chris's rendition of Siggy, I was afraid a new artist would change the overall look of the style, but I am sure with your guidance he will be able to make the game look even better than it was before while still maintaining the original aesthetic I fell in love with. Thank you for the update, and keep up the good work!

No that is Latest with the help of the New and highly skilled animator a raw demo would be coming.

Agreed. Siggy's body type clearly changed. It used to be more cartoonish, in a good sense. More voluptuous for sure.

That's what was said in the previous post at least and I'm honestly not so sure about it. I'd much rather finally see some new enemies in the game than reworked versions of a year's worth of perfectly fine old scenes. And again, a rework implies an art style change, and after so long in development, this definitely seems strange, especially when compared to how kReig managed to keep the style the same with the old animator by sending him the scene layouts he'd drawn himself.
