Hey guys, check out the vid update above as the battle system for Forbidden Arms: Bloodlust is now 95% complete. The remaining 5% will be just the damage calculations but that will surely come later once I get to the database of the character stats.

So since my english is bad, here's a quick rundown:

Special attacks: Every time you hit or get hit, the special meter goes up and as you use said special meter, you will go to a stance where you will decide a button to press (WASD or north, east, south, west) to perform an attack unique to that direction. This can be done midair as well, so we currently have 8 by default. Later on, you will be able to combine special moves to 3 tiers, so you may press S-D-W for some badass skill.

The blood absorbing mechanic will be a crucial part of the game, where you will be constantly be losing blood. If your blood meter stays at zero, your life goes down slowly as well, so be sure to keep slashing and bathing in blood to survive and perform blood-art sword skills.

STUFF LEFT TO DO FOR THE DEMO:

3 things. SOUND, 1 BOSS and integration of pinoytoon's lewd scenes.

Sound will probably be some days work, since we'll also need that for the lewd scenes aside from the blood splats, slicing and enemy screams in pain.

The lewd scenes, is now where I am focused at and will probably take a week or two to get 3 scenes flawlessly.

The boss, B-Spike is already animating it, but here's the preview:

He's definitely huge in size ratio and you can probably tell his weak spot. 1st boss, so it should be challenging but not too hard.

Just be careful not to get hit by his special attack:

July will focus upon the 3. Lewd, Sound and 1st Boss.


FINAL FLASH:

Since Google will be abandoning flash this December, I also announced that Forbidden Arms: Bloodlust will be the LAST game I'll be doing in Adobe Flash/Animate.

I will still stick to 2D and be using it as an asset/drawing/animating tool, but as an engine, the final nail in the coffin struck it with its abominable handling of its own unique commands. Apparently if you call a lot of gotoAndStop/Play() functions, the game will get laggy for a few seconds before it can recover. Sadly, that function is the one needed to display animations. On top of that, seen on the vid, it could not handle 500+ particles.

So, yeah. Bloodlust is in nowhere unplayable, but adjustments will be made to boost fps. And after that, I will be switching over to either UNREAL ENGINE or GODOT ENGINE for Divine Arms.

SOME EXTRA SIDE ANIMATIONS:

So, I like the part that the lewd scenes are already done from pinoytoons and I just need to add them to a working game.

So each month starting June, I also tasked B-Spike to animate a lewd scene to be used in the future. Future Foresight tells me there is no way I can make Divine Arms as soon as I switch to unreal or godot, so a much simpler game is something I need to do as I learn and transition to it. And just like pinoytoons' assets, I would like the lewd scenes to be READY when I start the next game AFTER Bloodlust...

So, I present you, some random chick with a complete sex scene. lol

I'm hoping by the time Forbidden Arms: Bloodlust gets finished, we already have 8-10 ready lewds for the next small / basic engine transition game. I am also hoping to get that out for mobile wankers.

Forbidden Arms: Bloodlust. June dev update.

Whew, got all the skills in and basically the main game system. There's gonna be a ton of lag because flash player sucks rendering just over 500 particles. I will be abandoning Flash/As3 after this project and will shift to unreal or godot.
