Not everyone greeted Epona for being the employee of the month. Everyone else seemed really busy. Dan said good morning, and Karissa loved the news, of course. She gave Epona a hug like they were still classmates.

“Homemade doughnuts, huh? Dan told me you’d make it yourself”, Karissa said. Epona opened the box and it was packed with them.

“Everything here is fresh, right from our farm. I used our eggs, our milk, our flour, our...”

“Oh no, you didn’t! You brought honey from the farm too! Are you crazy, Epona? Is this the one you make, you know, yourself, the secret honey? You’re so nasty!”, she said, failing to whisper.

“Karissa, this one isn’t…”, Epona said, but her friend kept talking.

“Can I have some?”, she asked, with her best puppy eyes.

“See, this is just regular honey, Karissa... No horses were harmed to make it.”

“But it’s delicious! Can you make some, like, right now?”

Epona looked around, and scratched her head.

“Right here? I mean...” and then she whispered “... everyone is watching.”

“Pretty please?”

Hello! Quaraci here. =^__^=

I’m so happy we’ve just reached 50 (51 today, to be precise) patrons this month! Yaaaay! We’re halfway through our next milestone of 100 patrons, which means we might be approaching a major change in the tools that I use: getting a new desktop computer, with the best GPU I can afford (with great GPUs come great responsibility!). This is important because creating illustrations do require some horsepower (no pun intended). I’ve already bought a new display last year, as well as an Intuos Pro Large (the previous one’s size was Medium), and lately I’ve just upgraded my broadband internet connection, which will allow us to stream from time to time, but having a more powerful machine will allow us to significantly increase our illustration sizes.

This reminds me of a chat I had with a friend on HF. He asked me why I always worked with this particular maximum image size (2000x1484px, 300dpi), and I told him the honest answer: if I scale it up too much, a multilayered file and a couple of good brushes (many good brushes require GPU acceleration) might overwhelm the machine, making it prone to crash more often, and significantly limit the workflow as a whole.

I guess this is a rather geeky way to say that I’m excited with the possibility of switching my current machine to a new one that’ll allow us to explore new possibilities. This is all thanks to you, so I’m really thankful for your support.

Stay safe. Stay beautiful. =^____^=

p.s.: this is an extra painting, an early access submission. I’ll post it at Hentai-Foundry, Twitter, etc. in a couple of days.

Homemade, huh? It sure rings some bells ;) I LOVE the way she stares. Like it means "don't say anything, he'll just love it". Best employee for sure ^^

LOL. We've seen plenty of (usually successful) Epona's homemade experiments during these last few years. She knows what she's doing. =^____^= That smile was the first thing I got when I was sketching, but I had no idea what to do with it. The whole story was created around it a couple of months later. :D
