Some variations on an Anubis transformation with a time-appropriate slave girl, as well as much later with intrepid explorer Lara Croft

Image One: “The slave girl was confused when she was called before the Pharaoh. She was bathed and clothed ornately, and brought to the chamber. She did not understand the reverence with which everyone treated her, or why they wanted to give her the jewelry. None of them would touch it, but she understood their commands to pick it up herself, and don it. She did so, and a flash of understanding, knowledge about all things, shot through her body. She knew now the gift she had been given, and she welcomed Anubis into her body, a blank vessel from which to be reborn. She accepted the gift, wondrous that it was, and granted Anubis control. Her body was remade in Anubis’ image, and she felt herself reborn…”
