Hey everyone!

Just to let you know that the new video is available on the channel. This one takes a look at the recent Valve situation where they flew out Jim Sterling and TotalBiscuit to consult on plans for the service. The problem? They were there to solve Valve's image issue. Valve's plans for Steam at best do nothing and at worse might make things worse.

The real issue is perhaps more to do with how consumers value convenience over a competitive marketplace. On top of that, oft-reductive commentaries from "pro-consumer pundits" lead to a scenario where the consumer believes they are absolutely right for this view. This video is a look at how we can be more nuanced in our discussion of these issues.

Hope you enjoy it! This one took a lot of effort in terms of research and going over the script again and again. I didn't want to come across as unnecessarily mean to the people whose ideas I'm critiquing here—it's absolutely not personal and certainly doesn't come from a place of malice. Just providing a counterargument. I hope that comes across.

Thank you so much for your continued support. This week has been pretty wild but knowing you guys have my back is more than enough to keep me going.

Yep. This is exactly what I think and worried would happen.
