Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose day, but before we get to that, I do want to take a moment to (cheap plug!) mention that, with the Worst Songs of 2023 on the way, these are the perks I'm planning (they're all the same as last year I believe):

  • Anyone in the OVERDOSE Tier (or higher) will have their name included at the very beginning of the Ten Worst Songs of 2023. If you'd like your name to appear, but you're NOT in that tier, feel free to upgrade (but do so AFTER December 1st)
  • Anyone in the RECOMMENDED DOSE Tier (or higher) will be able to take part in the Ultra-Early Access Watch-Along of the video via Discord (I'm hoping to do that on the 13th, but it MIGHT even be the 12th this year). If you haven't linked your Discord yet, I will post in December with further info.
  • EVERYONE, regardless of tier, will get early access to it on Thursday Night/Friday morning at Midnight my time, please note that it will be made available as a video upload direct to Patreon as opposed to on YouTube (this will ensure all copyright issues are avoided, and the great thing is that it'll be completely ad-free here, since the labels won't get to it)

The regular video will be posted on YouTube on Saturday, December 16th, and I'm also planning a Bonus Award the same as I have for the last 3 years as a Patreon exclusive.

Alright, on with this week's video, which I think you'll find both sadly hilarious and hilariously sad. Enjoy!

Buckley looks at the modern increase in adults suffering from arrested development as he tells you about two recent incidents involving Adult LEGO collectors. First, people who are destroying merchandise in the search for "blind box" minifigures, and second, people acting childishly over the release of an upcoming set. Were our parents like this?

Behavior like this is the reason why I dislike Disney adults. They act like spoiled children.

It's funny how toys today have been priced out of the market for most children. Companies are totally going after the adults with most toy IPs these days. Kids don't play with toys anymore, they're obsessed on their phones and pads. Now they just make toys for adults. I had most of the original Star Wars toys growing up but I doubt my parents spent more than $25 on any one major ship or playset. I happen to see an ad for a few of the new toys coming out for the latest Star Wars stuff, and it was all like $200-$400 each for a single ship with a figure. That's insane.

That post that said 80$ USD made me cringe. The $ goes before the number.
