Good ol' YouTube ads. There's more ads now than ever (even though content creators claim they're making less and less money from them). In this microDOSE (that's definitely longer than a microDOSE is supposed to be!) I break down who's responsible for the amount of ads on each video, as well as why Sponsored Content in videos is always in the worst place and always so fake sounding. But for the second one, I needed a little help from an old friend... as promised a few weeks ago, Jason's back!

I could not have gotten any luckier. I figured when I started filming the cat would leave, it stays there just licking itself the whole time and it adds a whole extra level of comedy to the idea that Jason's videos are just doomed.

The jasons jpinions segment was hard to watch only bc there really be youtubers that are about as unpersonable and uninteresting as stale bread and talk just like that 🙈

Makes you think how much they get for some of these two and a half minute sponsorship rants. It is funny how you could be watching a green peace campaign video and a turbocharged sports car is the advertising.

That's why I've always been against YouTube monetization, as much control as they give you they don't give you an option of what advertisers you do or don't want on your channel. I've always felt it'd be very hypocritical of me to do a rant about, say, Taylor Swift, and then an ad comes up for her album. It sends the message that I'm willing to take her money and use my platform to shill for her, but then talk shit about her? It'd be pretty hypocritical.
