Army much better. Easier to get in. Get promoted and less bs. It's not hard to pass the pt test. I'd suggest getting a Associates degree. Be a officer.

You need a Bachelor's degree to be an officer; this is true for any of the service branches. I would know; I graduated ROTC in 2007 & commissioned in the Army. When I first went in back in 1993 though, if you had a Bachelor's, you could come in as an E-4 (highest rank before NCO) and an Associates would get you E-3. No idea what it is now. Otherwise I agree, Army is easier to get into. That said, being in the field is no joke. I deployed to Haiti in 2010 for earthquake relief. We had dirty, dusty-ass GP Mediums & that was it. Had to maneuver through the AF area at one point. All their tents had actual FLOORS, WALLS and (get this) air conditioning (?!). I'd always heard the AF pretty much babied their people, that was all the confirmation I needed. As for the PT test, Marines run 3 miles for theirs, Soldiers run 2 miles. Sailors run 1 1/2 mile & AF does a bicycle test (iirc).

I did some checking. You absolutely cannot join with Bipolar Disorder, or Borderline Personality Disorder. The head trauma you received from your former boyfriend beating you nearly to death with a baton, is another certain disqualifier. The Marines, as well as the other branches, do check these things and they find them. Best that you hear, and realize the hard truth now Chloe, then to be crushed finding that out later from them.
