Have to talk to a recruiter. Standards differ based on manpower needs, which are (of course) determined by operational needs. At this time we're in peacetime, which means standards are going to be pretty high. As some others have said before, your neck tattoos would probably disqualify you from the Marines. Army might be ok with it, but you couldn't be an officer, that I know. I know you're intent on the Marines, and my hat's off to you for that, but you have to keep in mind, the Marines are the most conservative of the four branches of the US Armed Forces. Stuff that isn't much of an issue in any of the other three are no-goes in the Marines. Best of luck

You can as a Canadian citizen, and it helps that you have a college degree. However, the U.S. military will certainly take American citizens much quicker than foreign nationals. You are 26, and the age cutoff is 28. In peace time, we do not have as much need for manpower. Also, increased technology is another factor in decreasing the need for manpower in the military. Unfortunately for you Chloe, Bipolar Disorder, or Borderline Personality disorder, along with previous head injuries you sustained from a previous boyfriend, are certain disqualifiers. I'm sorry to give the truth this bluntly, but better to realize it now, than deal with it later from recruiters or medical examiners.
