Another day another update. Nothing too crazy today but some important fixes to avoid visual glitches with the ocean. Also updated the russian translation file (thanks to xllifi!).

Ocean Physics require Iris 1.4.3+ (or Oculus 1.4.3+ on Forge)!

Forge 1.19.x doesn't support ocean physics yet because it only has a very old version of Oculus (Iris) forcing me to wait until a new version of it is released (at least version 1.4.3 is required).

Installation Instructions: https://minecraftphysicsmod.com/installation

Iris Compatibility: Minecraft 1.16.5/1.17.1 requires Iris 1.4.2 or lower.

IMPORTANT Ocean Physics Information: Only use a maximum of 12 chunk render distance. Anything higher could result in big lag spikes.

Ocean Physics Supported Shaders: https://pastebin.com/vqDmXDhL

Smoke Physics Information: Minecraft particles have to be enabled for it to work! The further away you are from smoke sources the less particles spawn. Temporal Anti-Aliasing (or TAA) can cause issues with the smoke so disabling it will eliminate some visual artifacts. Not all shaders are supported (best results that I've got are with BSL shaders).

Snow Physics Information: Optifine is not supported (use Iris + Sodium on Fabric/Oculus + Rubidium on Forge). High render distances on slow CPUs might result in delayed snow tracks.

Liquid Physics Information: https://pastebin.com/E9dMD9MZ

Changes:

  • Fixed some ocean interpolation issues
  • Added warning to ocean settings if you go to crazy
  • Updated russian translations (thanks to xllifi)
  • UPDATE (v105a): Fixed (hopefully) all camera issues

Please use V106. It is fixed in that version.

I love messing around with this mod. I think a great addition would be foaming on top of the water to really sell the effect.
