M1 is a great gun. One of the favorite ones I own aside from my B.A.R You can get the M1 at a good price if you know where to look.

CMP is how I got my Garand. They'll deliver it right to your door too, no FFL needed if you live in a gun friendly state.

Best old gun you can own, Mosin Nagant 1891/30 with Tula marks from before the factory was captured by the Nazis in WW2. Beautiful rifle, still very good even by today's standards for normal range shooting, and so much history tied to them, especially if you can find field used ones.
