Ok, time needs to go just a bit slower. I feel the release is right around the corner, and there's still lots of work to be done.


Visuals
This week I've been continuing doing story renders, surpassing both the 2,200 and 2,300 mark. I've almost finished all of the endings from the mc's perspective. After that, I'm going to do the endings from the girls' perspective, which is far fewer, but still needs to be done. Hopefully, I'll be able to do every single story render by the end of next week, or else I'm in trouble.

After that, I'll continue the work on the concert scene together with scripting and general preparation.


Music
There's also good progress on the music front. I'm signing new songs at a rate of 2-3 songs a day.

Unfortunately, there are some big names who have not replied or gone silent. Among them are Joy Hanna (most of Lexi's route), Michael Shynes (general atmosphere and the limo 2-3-5 lip-sync), Katrina Stone (several songs, including chapter 7's Cece prologue 'raincheck'), and Lance Conrad (Lexi's 'Crazy' song). Hopefully, they'll get back to me with a decisive answer at least.

New artists signed are The Lighthearts (yes, the old main menu song is back in the game, together with the 'don't you give up now', Cece recovery song) and Jay Denton (general atmosphere and Cece's route - kiss on the bench). I've also agreed on a price in talks with Narrow Skies for their amazing version of Auld Lang Syne. In addition to that, I have secured the title track for my new game, which you'll see/hear in the teaser in LoF chapter 8 (the song is not available on Youtube or Spotify yet).

It's safe to assume that Leap of Faith has by far the biggest music budget of any AVN released, but I only have one shot at this to make it as good as I envision it, so I feel it's worth it.


Important
The Steam version will be censored by default with the release of chapter 8, but there will be a free DLC to uncensor it if you want to keep playing the same version you're used to. The Patreon version will stay the same. Some songs might be removed in the uncensored Steam version, although nobody has requested it yet. I will keep you updated on this.

The major reason to make Leap of Faith censored by default is that it allows me to release it on Apple's app store.

A "Thank You again" is like nearly 0.7/100, to give you from me! You're going to be a perfect example for me, who shows what hard work can pay off! A Game, that has stolen the heart of every people, who has played it till the date (I'm neglecting the 1% of people, who hadn't feel the same, they are meant to be neglected)! Amazing effort with dedication shows, what one can bring up to the world! Thanks agggaaiin for showing me, what can be result of consistency and 'love'!

This is sad about 2-3-5 and Joy Hanna songs. Those are some of the best ones. I really hope they respond. Thank you for the great work so far Drifty. Also this is the type of game where there is no issue of being censored. This VN is a masterpiece on story and characters. Looking forward on the app store version.

Hopefully the remaining artists will get back to you soon. Glad to hear you’re making progress on the music. Don’t be afraid to delay the release if it isn’t up to your standards in time, no shame in a delay, even multi-billion dollar AAA studios have to delay releases all the time. I don’t even want to know how much you’ve spent on the music, but you do have the best music of any AVN I’ve played, the only other one that I can think of that is anywhere close is Being a DIK because Dr. PinkCake will seek out some less generic songs for certain scenes, but even much of his music library is the more generic music you hear in games and TV commercials.

You are actually the first person to ask about it, but yes, I will rework the menu before the final release (which I have to do because of the Steph version).

I hope the other artists come back to you because I didn't know Michael Shynes and its thanks to your game that I downloaded his album! And I'm sure I'm not the only one like that. This game is awesome and I agree with others, sure it has adult scene but the story and general feel is way above others....

Sounds like the planned September 9 release is going to be tight. I'm very keen to play Chapter 8 like everyone else, but would fully understand if you had to delay the release to maintain your high standards. Fingers crossed for your continued success on the music front.

I swear sometimes these companies requirements are idiotic. It's like they are telling you that in order to sell your spaghetti in their store, you cannot have pasta, tomatoes, oregano or onions in it. Geez lawyers get a clue, you have to break eggs to make an omellette.

I'm so happy it looks like Narrow Skies' Auld Lang Syne will be in - it was the most hauntingly beautiful rendition of that I'd ever heard.

Sure hoping Joy comes around... she's definitely the voice of Lexi in my opinion. I'd never heard of that artist until playing this VN and now I have downloaded everything she's done. Fantastic music selections Drifty. Just a rock solid delivery of beauty at all levels.
