Leap of Faith Release - Tier changes (Patreon)

Due to the reactions to my post on the release scedule for the last two chapter and not including the $1 tier, I've decided to include the $1 tier for the release.

Chapter 7 (when finished)
$10 and up - Available as full download or patch on release day
$5 tier - Available as a patch 1 week after release (keep your current download to patch)
$1 tier - Available as a patch 2 weeks after release (keep your current download to patch)

Chapter 8 (when finished)
$10 and up - Available as full download or patch on release day (*)
$5 tier - Available as a patch 1 week after release (**) (keep your current download to patch)
$1 tier - Available as a patch 2 weeks after release (**) (keep your current download to patch)

(*) full version of the game includes the in game walkthrough/bonus material/dev commentary, as described in the tier description
(**) will be removed as tier rewards when chapter 1 of my next game is released - download before that

Hopefully this will be more fair towards long time supporters. Feel free to comment if there's anything, and please keep things civil.

I honestly like that its now behind a paywall (I know that sounds bad lol) but it means more support towards you and the creating of the game

I don't count the patreons I don't have, but I try my best to appreciate those I do have. So hopefully this is a more fair solution to the "paywall" problem.

Its a little confusing to me... so i straight up just ask now. Maybe its looking selfish or the way i only just want to save money (indeed thats the case cause i dont have much) But how exactly will this work out in the end... So for me its like this, iam only a 1€ patron, i know its not much, but at least something... i appreciate you work very much, i aprreciate the fact that i could enjoyed the game so far for this little amount of money and it was more than worth it. And i appreciate your communication style around here... your reports and comments are open minded, and i dont get the feeling that youre not honest about progress updates or other things about your game and the way you want to charge for it. For me it was always very clear how the developing progresses, and thats very important. So, lets face it, LoF is finished, Chapter 8 will be out. Iam still a 1€ Patron and cant get the game, thats fine. But will it be enough than just to upgrade to a 10€ patron for 1 month and thats it? Or must i be a 10€ for now until the game is finished?

I did change that, so now every patreon will get the game at some point. The difference in release dates is to differenciate the different tiers, which seems to be quite common as I've seen lots of other developers do it the same way. The $1 tier will get the release 2 weeks after the release date. It's a patch only, so you have to keep your current chapter 6 game installed so you have something to patch. The reason the $1 and €5 tiers will only get the patch, is due to the Steam release, as I can't release the full game at a lower price here than it will be on Steam.

This is good news, thank you. It is frustating to wait to play but I can understand that some get an early release because their support is higher. Annoying but fair enough.

I will check it out on steam for the final release. I don't mind the 2 week delay for my tier, but I know I will want the full game downloaded for replays.

Just played this game for the first time. Great game! Worth the money, game had me (to quote the characters, “something was in my eye.”). Very emotional with great character development/involvement. Had me hooked.. can’t wait to try a few more play throughs. Just a question, I noticed a couple of the characters are wearing the same clothes as in other visual novels, is there a reason for this? (Example Chris is wearing a t-shirt that says “awesome” and a character (chad) from BeingaDIK is wearing the same shirt? Just curious I guess

I've played this game through every which way, and enjoyed every time. (Thank goodness for the end option...) But to answer your question (because Drifty is a close friend of mine) Chad and Chris both shop at Walmart... and you know how it is?
