Tom's has been a shill for advertisers since around 2012. Look at their reviews of audio equipment, they will almost always recommend a brand that they can get a commission on (listed on amazon or newegg with affiliate code) and putting poor reviews on equivalent (or better) small producers. I think 2012 was when Tom relinquished ownership, but remained a contributor.
