The moment with Emilia was DEFINITELY something Subaru needed.  Can't imagine how much of a burden that is.  Having to repeat all these things.  Not knowing if something will change.  Not knowing if it'll be the last time you can attempt to change anything.  Not being able to tell anyone anything about what you know.  It's an extremely heavy burden to carry, especially doing it all by yourself!

(8:00): So Shadow and Light magic are really Yin and Yang magic. So the connotations aren't quite the same as Light and Shadow, but it's close enough. I don't know Yin and Yang well enough to really definitively extrapolate anything (the wiki page is a mess of all the different connotations Yin or Yang could have). (8:20): So Shamac isn't really a blinding spell per se. I mean, it does blind you. but it's way more powerful then that. More precisely it temporarily cuts your brains connection to your senses. So like you're blinded, but also you can't hear, or feel anything, but you still have control of your body, you just can't get any input from the world while Shamac is active. (13:20): So uhh, by a long time ago, they mean like hundreds of years ago. Also I don't remember if I mentioned this to you, the Jealous Witch should be the Witch of Envy. It's also worth noting that they couldn't find a way to kill her, so the ended up sealing her away instead (so the Witch of Envy is still alive). (17:45): So Puck also has some slight mind reading capabilities that they mentioned in one of the break time episodes (which are the chibi shorts that are mostly canon, and usually focus on a single minor world building detail). It's not quite like mind reading like most people would think of, it's a lot more basic, basically Puck can read the basic emotional state of a person. It is why he didn't question Subaru call for him to shield Emilia in Episode 3, because he knew from Subaru's mind that it was sincere. Anyways Puck just mentions here the dissonance between what Subaru is projecting to others and his own internal mental state. (29:00): The question we all want answers to. Also now we can get a basic explanation of how magic works in Re:Zero. Something to note is that magic here has 2 different definitions. First there's what we would call magic and basically encompasses everything that can't be done in the real world. 2nd, there whats referred to as Magic in universe, which is a particular subset of magic. I'll use Magic to refer to the narrow in universe definition and magic to refer more generally to non real world stuff. There are 3 broad categories of magic, 2 of which you either haven't encountered yet, or aren't really well defined yet, so I'll leave out those 2, and instead talk about Magic / Spirit Arts. Lets start with some basics. Mana exists basically everywhere, but notably in people and in the atmosphere. The Gate is the organ that turns Mana into Magic of a certain element. Now Mages cast magic by using Mana from their own body and only a small percentage of people in the world of Re:Zero are capable of that. This is how Roswaal, Rem and Subaru casts magic. But everyone can use Spirt Arts, where you contract with a Spirit and you use their Gate (or command them to use magic for you). This is how Emilia casts magic. In addition, Spirits require Mana to materialize, so they don't often materialize themselves. I think generally Spirits aren't capable of gaining Mana on their own, so free roaming Spirits aren't really much of a thing (I'm really not too sure about this). People using Spirit Arts generally use the Mana from the atmosphere to cast their spells, hence why Reinhard had to wait until Emilia was done casting to do his sword stuff, since it would of depleted the atmosphere of the Mana. Regaining Mana is a passive thing where you sort of just absorb it from the atmosphere or something and eventually you're Mana is restored. There's so more nuance to like all of this, but we'll get there when we get there. This should serve as a basic understanding of Magic for now.
