Good morning! This is the second map for June, a pagoda by a waterfall. It was actually meant to be a caldara, inspired by Roku's temple in Avatar: The Last Airbender, but by the time I realized it didn't look very caldara-y I had already finished the terrain/cliff lines and changing it wasn't possible. Oh well.

In any case, you've still got several points of attack, layered steps, a chokepoint in the bridge, and a fancy golden roof-topper, and also some super scenic stairs by a waterfall.

Variants

  • Supporter: The Supporter-tier package this week comes with day and night versions for the pagoda map, and also with an additional set with the pagoda stripped out - leaving just the bridge and path. Greyscale is included as usual.
  • Enthusiast: The Enthusiast-tier materials come with a total conversion of the map to a desert environment, with the cascading waterfall preserved. An additional version with the trees, foliage, and bridge stripped out is also provided. Someone must've stolen it.
  • Benefactor: The Benefactor-tier variants include autumn/dead versions of all three grassy maps, a version of the desert without the waterfall - revealing what might be a cave behind the lower one - as well as a desert map with a gaping hole at the base of the waterfall. Also included is the obligatory cherry tree """spring""" version, where you paint the trees pink because noone knows it's spring otherwise, and a fey/fair-folk type color variant tinted a deep purple and filled with sparkles. Maybe this could be encountered by stepping through the stone gate?

The free map is attached to this post, as usual!

Notes

I apologize for the lack of interior. It was on my plans, but even working 12 hours a day for days on end still meant I wasn't going to be able to make it. Pagodas are mostly empty anyways, but if you'd like to see an interior anyways, I bet one could be assembled with the ninja dojo rooms.

I riff on the cliched nature of the cherry trees, but truth be told, I honestly prefer the spring variant over the default one. It's dumb, but it is a pretty accent to the map, isn't it?

If any of you recieved a notification for this map 'early', or recieved two notifications, sorry! Krita exported the main Pagoda Waterfall map incorrectly - about half of the shrine objects, the furniture, the lanterns, and the stone torii were all cut off or missing from the scene. I didn't notice until the instant after I had hit publish, so I hastily deleted it. If I somehow missed a similar error a second time, please let me know immediately.

Let me know your thoughts, if you've any. Thanks for your support, and for reading.
