Hello parasite, I've come out of a deep hibernation. A lot of work has been done in these approximately 2 months and by the end of this month I will be happy to share the first iteration of the map. According to the classics, I will say that it is still very raw and empty, but I think you already know this. So...

  • It took a lot of time for the usual design and testing and figuring out how it should be. At first I started working on a 4x4 km map, but then I quickly realized that this would be the worst solution for a lone developer, since I always adhered to the rule, quality is better than quantity, so I turned everything and started over at 2x2 km, in the long run this will bear fruit, because over time, it will be easier for me to fill it with content. And in the future I can always expand it if necessary.
  • After long tests, I decided to abandon the Nanite technology (until better times), thanks to which I added the ability to switch to DirectX 11 in the settings, which increases performance by about 2 times.
  • Significantly optimized the forest shader, thanks to which I was able to increase the density of vegetation and add more different plants and trees, the area now feels really abandoned.

For now, I'm continuing to sculpt the map and add future places of interest. So there is a lot of work.
