The second 3D character test (Patreon)

Hi everybody, sorry I'm a little bit late with this monthly update. Since it's an October update, I thought that the alien was a perfect fit for it :D

I needed another character to interact with the mom, it could be a new version of the dad but I wanted to do something all by myself, in part due to costs. This is the result, I'm quite proud of it, the tentacles are rigged pretty much like an octopus and the face expressions works with face motion capture, exactly the same as the mom

With all this in place, what remains is to learn/experiment with animations. I'm going to try to put to good use these two 3D characters that now I have, I'll revisit the idea of creating new ones in the future if all this works as expected and I'm able to create something that the people is willing to support

There's the performance limitation of mobile devices, but I'll be testing and making changes over-time

There's more stuff I wanna discuss, like mechanics, but I'll create a separate post
