Honestly my honest opinion is that you guys should watch the bleach opening. We’ve all watch the opening as the anime air, and it builds anticipation. You guys should take it to a poll at the very least.

The reincarnation thing is a bit complicated. But essentially you die in any of the 2 worlds and get reborn in the other. So a constant loop of that and balance of souls between the 2 worlds. So people can be born in SS just like normal world. Have families and "Clans" (eg Noble Clans). They just live for much longer like 10* of the Earth people.

Yeah, y'all got confused by that "bankai" comment. Not your fault. The guy who told you about it was so enthusiastic that he spoiled the most beloved meme in the series long before it happens. ICHIGO is what people care about when it comes to that word. That's all there is to it. The way Masakazu Morita pronounces and inflects the word "bankai" is legendary in the anime community. No one else matters. It's kinda' like how, in DBZ, lots of people do "KAMEHAMEHA!", but there's something special about the way Goku does it. It's not really a sub vs. dub thing. Johnny Young Bosch's pronunciation doesn't do it for us in the same way, but the point is NO ONE IN SUB OR DUB DOES IT FOR US IN THE SAME WAY! Rather than watching sub Ichigo "bankai" one time, I recommend you look up a compilation on YouTube of every time he says it, when you reach the end of the series. 👍🏼 - Rana and Suraj, you got the magic stuff ALMOST completely right. Good job. 😉 ONE MORE TIME: Kido is the magic system they use. Every spell is kido. Bakudo is binding kido, hado is destructive kido. The numbers and power-scaling stuff was correct. As you noticed, that's why Renji is amazed that Byakuya can do that much damage with Hado #33 with no incantation. "Hado #33: Soukatsui" is Rukia's signature magic attack. She's used it several times, mainly with full incantation. Even though she was without her full power, it's still impressive to see how much Byakuya can do by simply saying the spell name. The whole Renji fight is meant to (among other things) reinforce for the audience JUST how much of a bad-ass Captain Kuchiki is; which is important for later. - One of the reasons you guys are confused about reincarnation is because the anime did something that the manga did not. It's a wonderful moment to see parakeet boy again, and have him ride around on Chad's shoulder. Unfortunately, this should not have happened. You do not reincarnate as the same person. That doesn't happen. Everyone reincarnates as a completely different person with no knowledge or memory of their past lives. I really like the anime-only moment with the little boy, and learning a bit about the caste system through him, but it does screw up the world-building. So you should think of that lovely moment between the boy and Chad as pure filler. That child no longer exists, and neither does his mother. Or rather they DO exist...as entirely new people. - I'm SO GLAD Chris said what he said about the dub. I'm someone who prefers each of the Big Three in sub, but the (modern) dub is great for each as well, and especially if you didn't grow up watching subbed anime, it's much easier to get the texture of everyone's character/personality coming through in their voice, when you can actually understand what they're saying. Don't let the dub-haters discourage you. It's not an affront to anyone - least of all Tite Kubo - to watch the show in English.

NGE had some of the BEST music in all of anime! Pachelbel's Cannon D (major?) is used in AMAZING ways throughout the end of the anime. I still think my love for jazz (fly me to the moon) and classical music spawned from watching this anime 😆 I love this shit! But it gets increasingly darker and darker these last 12 episodes

Uh sorry but this is also wrong Byakuya’s Japanese VA saying bankai is arguably even more popular and iconic than Ichigo saying it especially in the fandom. The normies having that reaction to it doesn’t make revisionist history.

Byakuya's va is iconic af. Kokushibo has the same va and i cant help but wanna say bankai every time the dude speaks. While Ichigo has an aggressive tone of bankai, Byakuyas japanese va portrayed a sense of deadly calmness with a touch of regal behind his voice. The slow and deep voice fits the character perfectly.

The ost that plays at the beginning of episode 51 is one of my top favorite ost's it's so damn fire and it reminds me so much of this arc. Such a dope way to start off a Bleach episode. Love the scene where Byakuya drops his sword once he says "I too have bankai" as 'Destiny Awaits' plays, which is actually his theme 🔥 Byakuya is goated. That dark realm definitely reminds you of domain expansion, now you guys are seeing more and more of JJK's inspiration.

I appreciate the last section of your comment. You're someone who prefers the sub but also understand and accepts people who watch the dub and enjoy it instead of just hating on the dub. As long as people enjoy however they watch it that's all that matters. I'm someone who grew up watching dub. (Watched Naruto in English growing up, so that's what I became used to) I ofc got used to sub and watch sub as well but I mainly prefer dub.

Byakuya's shit talking is definitely A1. The way Byakuya says Senbonzakura in the dub is kinda gross tho. Also it hurt a little bit (a lot) to hear y'all say his bankai is kinda lame🥲, it's so beautiful T.T but to each thine own. And random s/o to all the women of The Normies, y'all be killing it yo, that's all.

You got everything right except for a bit of the reincarnation part. The boy and his mother wouldnt go thru the reincarnation part until they die in Soul Society as they were originally humans in the real world first not souls. Once the original soul dies, then it gets reincarnated to an entirely different being, usually hundreds of years later
