A lot of people hating on django like it isn't his best movie

Teyon Alexander

I really enjoyed four rooms it’s a bummer it’s not as popular

Rey

Man Jackie brown is so underrated

M.

Reservoir Dogs. Django. Inglorious Bastards. From Dusk Till Dawn. Idc about the order. These are the best movies on this list. By a significant margin.

We all agree that pulp fiction is good or at least most of us do, it’s a stacked cast, it’s quotable, and entertaining. But I’m not surprised that Django is winning, I think Django’s characters are more interesting and everyone loves a justified revenge story which is why I’m not surprised that the runner up is kill bill.

Also I’m interested in why people in the comments think Django is so mid compared to the rest of Tarantino’s other works, so if some of you could reply and give me more insight into why you feel this way that would be nice.

Douglas Kelley

Do we really want to listen to them complain about the racism in Django?

DarthCaedus

Could really use some good old fashioned killing Nazi’s lately. I’ll take killing slave owners as a close second.

Doll D

I don't think its mid, but if you're gonna watch one Tarantino film or get an idea of what his style is like. I don't think Django dose that in the same way pulp fiction does

rickie woodson

should just be in chronological order, honestly

hantothenah8

I mean this movie depicted a brutally realistic take on that time period and this crew having POCs and their take aways and stories is extremely important.

hantothenah8

Pulp fiction Django and Inglorious Basterds for sure 👏👏

COREY Ervin Scott-Johnson

You don't have to watch them in order; it really doesn't matter; all that matters is you check them out. Anyone complaining about Django, we all know why, it is arguably his best film, so stop it with the hate, people still can't accept that America did these heinous acts and haven't atoned for them.

Why are there 19 movies on here? Should be only 8 if you don’t split Kill Bill. I’m guessing on all the other ones QT has a writing, producing or acting credit. But they shouldn’t be on here

I recommend people change their vote from Django/Basterds to Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs .. I originally voted for the former two but after reading through the comments, I agree that they should do early works first. QT's stylistic and writing style is so unique and hits harder with PF. Just my two cents 👍 ...Tarintino was involved on 'The Rock'?!

HIM

They aren't noobs to QT... if they were, then I'd agree. But, seeing how they all probably have favorites on this list already, I doubt they need to be spoon-fed during this Journey.

Zen Reacts

Why are there so many movies on this poll. Most of these arent even considered QT films

Morgan Le Fay

Jackie Brown deserves more hype. The blaxploitation legend herself, Pam Grier and Batman (Keaton) make it a must watch. Surprised Django has come up as the front runner. I love that film, but not more than Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds. Maybe I’m old🤷🏽‍♀️.

Deathproof is his best film

Reyna Moore

You're not old that movie is just as good as the ones you mentioned.

Reyna Moore

Yeah it's a comfort movie for me for sure.

bits

That's fair -- I assumed they were noobs

dannydarko27

NBK is underrated but i still voted for Reservoir

No one needs to see My Best Friend’s Birthday.

KingCapone

Hateful 8 my be my favorite tarantino film or pulp fiction

Thoko

I'm black (I don't like the phrase POC) and I don't find any particular positive or negative about hearing the take aways from other black people. It doesn't change anything (by us hearing their takeaway) and it is entirely predictable what people's views are going to be on this topic regardless of their ethnicity. I don't agree that it's "important" at all.

Thoko

Thats a poor and disturbingly woke, straw man argument. I'm black and even I'm capable of seeing that there just because a movie focuses on an important topic doesn't mean that it is automatically a great movie. This is not on the level of a Schindler's List. "12 Years a slave" was a much better way to handle that time period. And by the way, the whole world engaged in heinous acts including slavery. And many places (including Africa and India) are still doing it! Why not focus on getting people to atone for the slavery that is happening right now instead of blaming innocent people for what dead people did hundreds of years ago.

Navi missed my message when I told her what the actual list was. Online lists have all his produced movies included which doesn’t count - Suraj

I'm a fan of the linear timeline (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bills, Death Proof, Inglorious Basterds, Django, Hateful 8, Once Upon a Time just so you can work your way through the progression / natural development and then go back to the extra stuff (Dusk Til Dawn, etc.) to follow the journey but really, as long as you do his work, there is no wrong answer on how to proceed.

Dom Smith Mountain

It is important to acknowledge that someone can be a good and unproblematic person, but still be benefiting financially and socially from the heinous acts of their ancestors. Instead of putting it off as something from a long time ago, those descendants should be willing to help atone for the crimes of their ancestors. It’s messed-up, but it’s also their duty to make sure things change and society doesn’t forget the unspeakable crimes of the past, simply because it’s “the past”. Because America is still benefiting and suffering from it. Redlining, the prison system, police brutality, underfunded education or direct impacts that have major distress on black and brown communities. And fyi, slavery has not ended in America. It’s only gotten worse, but there’s a different name for it: Trafficking. It’s more than just sexual exploitation, you should research it.
