Guys ozpin already said that the gods (the two brothers) are the ones that gave him the reincarnation as a punishment for not stopping Salem in the past. That would seem to imply that he ISNT one of the brothers but he is definitely the old wizard from the story of the maidens. There’s nothing to suggest that the old wizard is one of the godly brothers or anything so idk why you guys are making that connection, unless it’s just a theory from you guys. When it comes to Raven, she was basically like Yang was this episode. She felt like she was being led into something by ozpin when she didn’t really know what she was getting into. Like Yang said, If they are gonna risk their lives they wanna know everything, it’s only fair. There’s a few theories about the old team (Yang’s mom Raven, Their dad Ty, Qrow and Ruby’s mom Summer) having been sent on a mission like the current one to fight Salem in the past and something ended up happening to Summer during it. It seems like she might have had to make a sacrifice but as far as the show has told us at this point, she specifically went missing and is only ASSUMED dead. But otherwise you guys caught a lot of stuff this episode, loved the reaction.

Tbh I’ve stopped listening to their discussions afterwards, because most of the theories they come up with are based on info they either misremember or just imagine stuff that never happened. Really don’t know what it is about this show in particular, but they’re waaayyy worse at remembering lore than other shows
