I feel like it wasn't omitted as much as not explicitly stated. He was using the flashbang move that has been demonstrated a couple times. So if people pay attention to the animation they would have figured out what he did.

Dude its literally a different variation from Bakugos regular Stun Gun so much so that manga goes out its way to differentiate the two. Also omitting and not explicitly stating something literally mean the same thing.
