Let's goooo

How it all connects

That's not what fillers are... They don't need more time to animate in principle. What they are doing is waiting for new manga chapters to be released, because anime caught with with it. Smh normies...

Chris seems to have an itch that only looting from the equally unfortunate can scratch lmao

Yo Suraj is so funny. He saw Orochimaru for half a second and got excited

Nicholas R. Gonzales

I’m sure plenty of people have mentioned this before but since they still bring it up in reactions, there is an Unofficial Kai version of Naruto that edits out filler scenes from the episodes that weren’t in the manga. You can just google Naruto Kai and find it.

PolyRon

I thought they have different teams or bring in different animators depending on whether it's a filler or not. Like the B time works on filler while the A team works on the canon material.

Chris had some really fuckin funny one liners this reaction lol

I love the Normies' end discussions in Naruto. They give so much to the talk and really break down what they watched in that specific ep in Naruto. Positive or negative, they always give great interesting view points!!! Especially in Pain arc, where they are comparing real war zone experiences to the war experiences shown in Naruto. Really great breakdown Normies. Thats why ur my fav reactors for Naruto!!!🍥 And thats saying a lot because there r so many amazing Naruto reactors out there!🔥👍🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽💯

Lazycloud

Haha, I agree so much with the “how can you watch Naruto and be an a-hole”. I don’t get it. I truly believe most Naruto fans on the internet either don’t understand or don’t care about the themes Naruto tackles. They only care about the ninja shit. Like the constant insulting of the crew over simple misunderstandings is excruciating. You got a guy right now being passive aggressive over the definition of fillers right now... which fine, explain it.... but don’t be an jerk about it.... you like these dots... it’s passive aggressive ain’t it...

Shudaii

Chris, naruto defeated all the six pains cause they were revived by one of the surviving pains before battling him. Put some respect on naruto talking about some "alot of the other pains died in other ways"

KevinFromNewYork

Look. It's Gabi if I gave a shit about her 🤔

Pervy Sage

Navi rocking a fine lookin outfit in these reactions. Daaaayumm

Rekway

I agree, I think the post-ep discussions are what set them apart from most of the pack. Nobody watches a reaction to see "We'll find out next time in the next episode!" at the end, we want to see that juicy breakdown and theories so I'm glad they have always stuck to this formula.

This seems to be the thing with the anime community and try to avoid the "community" at all costs. Across the board, I haven't ran into an anime fandom that didn't have their share of toxic fans. This assholeness is in every fandom now unfortunately.

Great reaction

This is a great story keep up the good work

The Normies Staff

Hunter : No, that's not really how animation studios operate. More likely is Key Animators were less involved, fewer frames were allotted to the episode, or the turn around was just a lot faster. Especially back then when episodes were being produced at times weeks to week, being completed and rendered for broadcast the DAY OF it's initial tv broadcast. Episodes such as The Pain fight often just involve a lot more freelancers and are started well-before the episode is slated to premiere.

Im not able to View this video for some reason... any ideas?

It was my understanding that they do the filler episodes to give the manga a chance to get further ahead. For a super popular Shonen Jump property like Naruto, a studio will usually pick it up for an anime adaptation while the manga itself is still being written. That's why there are two Fullmetal Alchemist shows. The first one caught up to the manga and chose to write their own ending in order to keep their time slot (more on that later), and the Brotherhood was the canonical story after the manga was finished. So with Naruto there were a crazy amount of fillers super constantly to give the writer a chance to keep writing basically. Its really easy for anime adaptations to catch up to the current spot in the manga since for the most part each anime episode covers a handful of manga chapters, even moreso when its a fight that's being covered. As far as just not putting out a new episode for that week, from what I understand about how Japanese tv works or worked a few years ago, if they didn't have something new and exciting to release each week that would get a lot of views and ratings and stuff then the studio would lose that time slot and it would be given to some other company or show. That's why you're more likely to see an anime get adapted for 12, 24, or maybe even 52 episodes at a time as opposed to stuff like Naruto and Bleach which were considered "long running" and had to have an episode released weekly. It's significantly different to how we're used to tv being ran and operated out here. Basically, you don't have something new to put in your time slot, you lose your time slot

Otaku27

Interesting, I knew about the manga stuff, but with the time slot thing it makes more sense

Arindrajit Sen

I only sometimes feel that if Nagato's father didn't ran in like that as if he's attacking then the Leaf shinobi might not have considered them enemy shinobis and no one would have died.

RyssaVionus

I don't think I'd even consider these two filler... I mean, it is important to the story that Naruto understand Nagato's past.

Jimmy Wise

They're not calling these episodes filler, they're referring to the two actual filler episodes that are between Naruto meeting Nagato, and these episodes...the two fillers are episodes set back during the Chunin Exam from part 1

at 3:59 What the hell is Chris talking about??? Naruto defeated every single pain. 1) The puppet pain, smashed him with one arm. 2) The long haired pain who can pull out souls, killed him with wind style rasen shurinken 3) The pain that summons, he used 2 rasengans inside the toads mouth 4) The pain that resurrect, he killed with 2 rasengans ,comming from above 5) the pain who can absorb ninjutsu, he was turned into a frog, BY NARUTO 6) after a long fight, also as a 9 tails, then again as naruto, in the end defeated him with rasengan. 3)

John Vick

at 9:56 somehow chris i don't doubt that at all.

Shugoshin

The studio absolutely did not have to animate all those fillers please just take a break. And animation studios aren't the ones making money on the shows.
