You guys were right about the red armband! The Warriors and their families are given red armbands as a symbol their 'Honorary Marleyan' status. Yellow armband = Warrior candidate (i.e. Colt - chosen Beast Titan inheritor, Gabi, Falcon, Udo, & Zophia). White armband = regular Eldian citizens living in Marley.

Wait I’m confused why can’t we see the reaction

Cant remember the last time I saw Navi in studio 🥰

Also, Pieck is the Cart Titan. They didn't explicitly state this in the episode, but it was implied during her conversation with Porco and Reiner when she said that she's struggling with walking on two feet after being in her titan form for 2 months, hence the crutch. The five titans that are currently in Marley's possession are: Beast (Zeke), Armor (Reiner), Jaw (Porco Galliard), Cart (Pieck), and War Hammer (held by the Tybur family), which is why all of them were meeting in that room to discuss their plan for attacking Paradis Island. Colt is also there because he's chosen to take Zeke's power, and Zeke is supposed to die in a year's time so it makes sense for his successor to be in on the operation.

Red band is honorary marleyan status which is given to the titan users and their families, yellow are warrior candidates and grey are normal eldians. Eldians strive for honorary status to better the lives of their families.

Thank you for the quick uncut! WOuld it be possible to include the discussion part as well in the future?

Ynaando

No action at all but this episode pulled all my heart strings in all the right places 🥺. Imo I liked it better than the last. I still root for my people In pardis tho 🔥

Andy

Seems like you missed that Falco's last name is Grice. The same Grice that helped Grisha lead the resistance against Marley and eventually got eaten by Titans when sent to Paradis. Falco is most likely his grandson/nephew.

thenormies

OMG he was the dude that asked Grisha why Zeke his son gave him up right before he turned to a titan? - Nahid

Do you guys realize that the warriors are forced to do the stuff they do right? How does Reiner deserve PTSD? Same as saying an allied soldier deserves it

I think a lot of people just have less sympathy for the warriors and completely side with the people of paradise.

Anonymous

I think if it was real life they would have more sympathy for the warriors but after 3 seasons of seeing the powerful painful struggles of paradise i dont blame audiences for taking their side

KaydenC

Having that bias though, they missed the fact that Reiner was 100% speaking ironically when he recounted events on the island. He wasn't actually hating on Sasha or any of his mates. "These people are so bad, they'd steal a potato. They deserve to die." He was essentially dismantling the deep-seated "Eldian devil" propaganda they were fed their whole lives. That's why his mom looked so shocked. She thinks HE'S been brainwashed. Ordinary Eldians living in Marley never considered the fact that Paradisians were just regular people. That's part of the reason I suspect what went on was classified. The Warriors inevitably would learn the truth about the so-called devils, but were muzzled. Can't let stuff like that spread. It would undermine the Marleyans' subjugation of the Eldians.

Cains

The brilliant writing of this show displays how brainwashing truly works, this audience doesn't even realize that they've been brainwashed against Marley and the warriors in the same way as the warriors are brainwashed against the Eldians. You've been assaulted with the horrors committed by the warriors for 3 seasons and now you have no sympathy for them. It doesn't matter what reasons they have, their struggles, that they're indoctrinated from a young age, or the fact they have no control and are forced into this life. They aren't people to you any more, they are simply the enemy that has to be defeated. This is exactly how the warriors feel about the Eldians after being assaulted with the horrors of the Eldians for their entire lives. The realization Eren has at the end of season 3 is that even if he kills Marley, that still won't make them free or create peace. There will always be someone next in line to hate and kill, there is no grand evil to be defeated that will give you some magical happily ever after.

J. J.

Exactly, the irony of Reiner's story is that he's seeing them as humans despite growing up knowing them as devils. This is exactly how Eren looks at that one titan at the end of S3 with sympathy after vowing to kill all titans in S1, all a matter of perspective.

DANIEL PEEDAH

Don't worry guys, the writer will show these guys the true meaning of "grey"

Max

This is probably one of the few things from the episode that needed to be explained in the comments since Normies seemed confused. Also that was Reiner's Mom not his aunt. This a great explanation tho.

To play devil advocate we should keep in mind Grisha’s interpretation came from Eldian text he cannot even read. That can be potentially as biased as Marley’s text. Who is to say the images Grisha saw about building roads could just be talking about what Ymir did for Eldian society and not everyone? If Eldia did conquer other nations their texts might emphasize how things got better for them and ignore some people they conquered or displaced similar to what we have seen in some real life history. Even if Eldia did conquer Marley and other countries in the past that doesn’t really excuse how current Marley is acting now. Treating the Eldians as second class citizens and abusing the power of Titans makes the Marleyans as bad as they claimed the old Eldia Empire was. Both sides could have some truths in their histories and some propaganda in play.

Hey guys is there anyway to get the season 01 reactions i couldn't find it

L.C.

I am enjoying it more than not. That Gabi bitch is the more annoying version of Eren.

Joe

I'm really surprised that none of you could understand the perspective of Reiner. Didn't Nahid have something to do with the military?

KaydenC

Good point, Thoko, but I wasn't suggesting he was doing it consciously or intentionally or rebelling. You are correct. He's trying to reconcile why the island devils must be condemned, with the "crimes" he actually witnessed of them. The things he said "were" ironic and it would come across as that to anyone in the room and the audience. It had the "effect" of undermining everything they had ever been told about the other Eldians. I agree it's pretty clear that he's conflicted. That was apparent when he was still on the island. But the result of that is an external monologue that no one could have expected because it did run counter to what they believed. He didn't mean to sow any doubt yet he did: Gabi says "but they're bad people, right?" This was my point.

Vendrix

he is the most unmilitary-like former military I have ever seen in my life.
