The flashbacks of Netero obtaining so much power and aura are basically making people bow down and not want to fight him. He had to be graceful in their defeat. But he asked himself "when was it when I stopped being graceful in an opponent's defeat " (or something like that). Becasue it's not what he really wanted. He wanted to test his power against an individual. Hence why he is grateful for this meeting with the king. I watched this episode several times and in dubbed as well

The whole me questioning if the statue is real or not is because I got done watching Demon Slayer recently. In Demon slayer the fandom has me going back in forth wondering if the Tanjiro Water breathing style if its real water or not. I was kinda in the same mindset questioning Netero-San and the gold statue. Been watching a lot of Animes lol makes me question things in a certain way. Damn guys, we needed that double drop right now, such a shame. Also, it has already been requested but 130 and 131 are also a double drop, hopefully you guys haven't recorded it yet. I understand sometimes it's not possible but these are really key episodes in the anime and I think almost everyone would like to see them together, you guys as well. Great reaction nonetheless!

Meruem isn't waiting for Netero to hit him, Meruem is throwing punches and attacks faster than the speed of sound so those times are to represent how fast Netero is.

Netero's t-shirt has the Japanese word for "heart" on it. It's been shown multiple times in the series that Netero values heart. Compassion, drive, skill, instinct, anything that shows you have a strong/good heart.
