Wow... I'm just so speechless at how amazingly shot, written and directed this episode was. Not to mentioned how brilliantly this was acted by Rami Malek. I felt such intense emotion and sadness for him watching the scene that I'm nearly tearing up just recounting it on this text here... This is such an underrated show that I actually feel so bad for those that didn't watch it and even worse for those that decided to drop off it. Hats off to Sam Esmail and co. for creating this stellar chapter that stayed in the same location the entire time!

Def one of the best episodes of all TV! Sorry I'm new here so I don't know the exact upload schedule. When does the uncut version come out?

Why did like all the normies drop off this show, i don't think we've been given a reason (if there is one?)

We all watched S1 together.. Then the copyright strikes came... We staved off the show for S2 but Pat and I watched on our own individually and met up for the S2 finale. Since then we've kept with the show which is kind of hard to watch since it's not on streaming platforms and only available for us via amazon purchases. The rest just haven't had the time I'm assuming to catch up since there are so many episodes to watch.

This episode is so unique in it's structure and storytelling. I've heard people say that the five-act structure here represents five levels of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acception. And each of these feelings can be seen in each act, even more, the light gets darker and darker, the colours change, everything is so theatrical and artistic. Again, yet another episode of Mr Robot I call masterpiece.

Exactly. Just want to add that it was staged like a five act play...with Krista's apartment serving as the stage. Hence the ending with the lights turning off at the end sounding like they're shutting off the lights after the final act of a play. Definitely one of the best episodes of an amazing series.

This twist is the key to everything... Elliot hates being touched, his loneliness, his crying fits. The first scene of this show is him taking down a pedophile.

There is a scene in Season 3 where Krista is talking to him about why Mr. Robot exists, and Elliot remembers building the snowman and getting pushed out the window. Krista asks him what made him think of it, and it does the SAME dolly in, the same creepy music cue... And then Elliot says "I don't know" (Because he was still repressing)

(not so)fun fact: childhood trauma or childhood sexual abuse is a frequent cause of dissociative identity disorder

Let us not forget, Vera killed Shayla. Elliott wouldn't have forgotten that. Vera was dope, but that was boo. Admittedly, i watched this special VR short where Elliot and her go on a date in season 1 and it adds a lot of context to that relationship. Its pretty dope. I highly reccomend it if you have a headset. If not, i think you can still watch it on youtube, but being a literal fly on the wall for it is sick. You feel like one of his multiple personalities watching it in VR.

Hunter2

it shut off like that because the whole episode was structured like a 5 act play, even the way the camera acts and the theatrics and everything being shot in one location, its a really interesting way to shoot something but it really works

Vera: "I'm gonna break Elliot down and build him back up and own him" Pat, after Vera exposes Elliot to life altering trauma and immediately pretends to be his friend: "Vera is really connecting with him!"
