It seems like this was a binge that he couldn’t make it to for some reason. This was the last episode in their binge so I’m assuming he’ll showing up the next one.

Video Unavaliable!!!

Pucki

still private... are you guys able to fix it today or should i come back tomorrow?

Alex cleveland

Micky and Marketa, Im sorry but y'all are wrong on the water being metaphorical. I can understand why u think that but no. It shows how the water attacks demons.... And im pretty sure they stated how the water concentration works. So Pat, Chris, and Nahid are correct on this argument. 😂😂😂 TBH the WATER breathing tech and the THUNDER breathing tech seem obvious to a lot of ppl. Nonetheless all love and just tryna clear up what y'all thought about the sword fighting. ❤️

For the breathing techniques, all the effects are metaphorical, they are not actually there. They are representations of the way the blade moves and the movement of the swordsman. For water breathing, you can think of it as the way water-benders move in Avatar, where the flow do long movements, like water flowing. The water breathing techniques are long, connected movements, resembling the flow of water. The thunder breathing techniques are quick and precise, just like a strike of lightning. The beast breathing techniques are primal are just various hack and slash moves. The animations are just a way of showing how the technique is supposed to represent.

Yuriichi

In terms of the episode I do agree that it is very slow paced and it was my least favorite in the season because of that. But it is in an awkward spot where the next episodes wouldn't line up right with where the animators and director wanted to end the season, so this episode and to bite the bullet and be drawn out

Silver Wolf

Oof tanjiro v inosuke is a pretty good fight scene 😂

blickvic

dw chris my G until i started watching the reactions, i thought the water and other abilities were real too

I thought the elements were actually there. Because of something shown/heard in later episodes, which I won’t spoil, that wouldn’t make sense if there wasn’t any element there.

One non-spoiler evidence is when Tanjiro uses water moves to break his falls, a guy using just a sword to cushion a fall from that height would seem pretty ineffective.

Why is Micky so negative most of the time ?

botanbutton

I am also of the mind that the elements are representations of the movement/flow/techniques that the demon slayers are using. I'm pretty sure the whole technique behind Zenitsu's moves is a real thing. Keeping the sword in the scabbard and drawing it quickly while attacking, like lightning. Iaido, I think it is called.

Zenitsu best boy

It was kinda a slow episode but I really like the next episode as a whole and 12 was lit also. Besides those who binge shouldn’t whinge, try watching week to week.

Joanaver

I wonder who here has read or is reading the manga?!

i dont get why rana awlays noticing something its so unnecesary on some moments..

Spudsworth

From my understanding, the term iaido originated in the 1930's, and refers to the modern practice, which is a strictly non-combative art. I believe the more appropriate name for what you're talking about would be iaijutsu or battojutsu, which preceded iaido, and was used for combat. A similar distinction would be kendo (which is a sport), and kenjutsu (which refers to techniques for actual combat). That said, I'm not an expert on Japanese history or martial arts, so I may be off on some of that.

Deadpool

I say it’s because he looks at things more realistically

To answer the question of the thunder from Zenitsu's strike: while the lightning isn't real, the speed definitely is, and when something breaks the sound barrier, you get a sonic boom.

Aria

They really dont like this show haha
