I always find it hard to watch the team betray each others' trust and crumble under the pressure of the future, but honestly I think it's a refreshing take. If you consider that this group hasn't had a break since ghost rider or really since winter soldier, they're understandably losing their foundation as a team with this seemingly insurmountable task.

Macy

Fitz, Jemma and Yoyo think they cant died because of Fitz theory of time cant be changed but they also realize that if one of them dies that means time has changed. They are going into this fully aware that they might die and they have accepted it. Its the whole point.

Christopher simeon

Yes exactly. They know it’s possible and would break the loop but they have a mission that they know they can’t die on if his theory on time is correct(which the whole series has said is fixed.) Killing themselves(which is not a good idea) may not stop the world from being destroyed but it would “break the loop” because their is no future them to design the machine that brings them to the future or tell the past yoyo about the future and the loop stops. They are risking themselves right now to succeed in this mission which would help save the world possibly if time isn’t fixed. There is literally no downside to this plan and the risk is only to themselves. It’s not a direct we survive this mission we save the world but it’s a step closer. What happens when your characters figure out they have plot armor lol.

eric lemieux

so that final scene is actually a deleted scene from the season 1 finale.

Christopher simeon

Yes I love it. You have literally a billion lives on the line if you fail. The pressure is up.

Thanatos

It is understandable they all are going a little mad. They haven't really had much rest since ghost rider.

Elijah Mc

12:21 and 12:38 had me dying! You guys are hilarious! Whoever is editing these is amazing.

Christopher simeon

Also daisy was not being a good leader by taking a child and mother out of hiding when Fitz had a lead If a leader lets personal feelings effect the mission and puts innocent lives at risk that’s not good so mutiny lol

Di

Just a heads up but there's a news YouTube channel called "Tipster" that just dropped a vid about you guys. He's trying to "expose" reaction channels saying that you guys are just like "Suzy Lu".

Anonymous

They can just slap him with a DMCA of their own since he is ripping their content and putting it in his own video (ironic since that's what he is complaining about in the first place lol)

In less than 5 minutes, Jemma went from being one of the best scientists in the Marvel Universe to deserving to lose all of her PHD's.

Yomiko Albright

The scene at the end was supposed to be part of season 1 but the cut it at the last minute. They then decided to use it for this storyline.

I hate how most of the fandom is on Fitz's side just because it's Fitz. If Daisy had restrained Jemma let's say, cut into her against her will when Jemma BEGGED her to stop, and never gave a sincere apology, everyone would have hated Daisy and blamed her, from Fitz to everyone in the fandom. But nope just because it's Fitz he's immediatly forgiven and Daisy's to blame. One example is Raina, she sided with Fitz immediately not once trying to see Daisy's perspective. I'm so grateful for Chris because he's the only one trying to understand Daisy's anger. Also, I doubt it if Fitz told Daisy "hey look there's only a couple hours left before this destroys the world, the only thing that would stop it is your powers so we need to restore them", I highly doubt she would have said no!!

LAMAR LEWIS

gotta make hard choices as a leader even when there not popular. How did they find them (phil) by the way ?

Christopher simeon

MJK Daisy literally said she wouldn’t so you are showing your own biases. If that was a possibility she would have said in then when it makes Fitz look worse for doing it. That would have made him completely wrong. She literally agreed with him. Why would she do that if she would do it?

Fun fact: this episode first aired on TV on April 6, 2018, just three days after you guys posted your early-access reaction to Agents of Shield season 1 episode 3 "The Asset"....which of course introduced Gravitonium, Franklin Hall, and Ian Quinn. A nice coincidence of timing there.

Rob Flynn

Yup. Thing is, I can totally see her point and way of thinking, too. If I'd be transported back and forth through time and literally had the fate of the world and billions of lives on my shoulders I could totally see myself cracking and developing her line of thinking.

Rob Flynn

Yup, that's something to keep in mind. They literally just got out of the framework right before they were captured and sent to the future. They haven't had a break since Aida and her LMDs attacked in the beginning of S4.

I need to mention the ridiculousness of Yoyo's invincible reasoning. She thinks she's unkillable because she was alive in the future. She wasn't alive, really. She was dead and brought back multiple times. The writing just seems to falter in this episode so they can push an invincible three story.

Christopher simeon

She keeps saying she “makes it to the lighthouse” so she knows that she is alive after the earth is cracked and the zephyr crashes trying to get there. They wouldn’t have her body before the earth cracked apart because the kree didn’t arrive until after it cracked. Future yo-yo also said that THEY killed her. So it had to happen after earth is cracked So no it’s not ridiculous Anything before that event is what makes her invincible because she isn’t dead before that.

Nudeldifudel

Just wanna remind you that they have all been trough hell, jemma was a slave in the future for crying out loud.

Leo

so... no better call saul today?

Anonymous

eh maybe just a late upload but also it's NYE so shit happens I suppose

Alejandro

I remember thinking. If they would remember that episode when they get to season 5.

Alejandro

I saw that. They are just haters man. They deleted my comment I guess they don’t like hearing the truth about them but they like to talk crap about other channels

Trent Bowles

You need to see things from their perspective when it comes to what happened in the future. Imagine discovering that you have no free will, that everything you do will inevitably lead to the very result you're trying to avoid. Jemma and Yoyo are courting death because they're grasping for a sign...any sign, that they have some measure of free will and that their future isn't written in stone. And if that means their deaths, then so be it. Sure, like most time travel stories, it's all nonsense if you really think about it, but within the logic they're operating under, it's understandable.

db

When it comes to this moment in the show, it's easy to tell who's staunchly anti-daisy or anti-fitz by the lack of mention of the others involved. I rarely see criticisms of the other two members of the invincible three, Simmons and Yoyo. And never once have I seen criticisms of May or Mack who side with Daisy's actions.

db

I Could be wrong and going off the top of my head, I think at one point or another in the show, everyone on the team has been a slave in some way. Some more than once.

Christopher simeon

Mack and May just followed orders of daisy because she is the one making the calls. Simmons and yo-yo are going off of FITZ’s Theory so the invincible thing is a result of his thinking

Namelessnonnie

This is where I end up disconnecting from most reactors I think. Because the thing is. We are viewing this show from our world scope. But in the show, the world is ending. Theyve seen or heard of a version where their loved ones are dead and everything is gone. When you are in that place, you are not being sensical. You are a heightened if not sometimes twisted version of yourself. They have always faced obstacles, but they have never been up against true cataclysmic demise. That is bound, to shift the paradigms if not for the time being.
