Lexa had me so heated the first time I saw this. I'm with Rana on this

You're not the first to tie this to Dante's Inferno Chris, there was a huge thread in the hiatus between season 2 and season 3 that was literally about that topic. https://www.reddit.com/r/The100/comments/5ko2pc/anyone_feel_like_mt_weather_is_an_allegory_to/ As far as Lexa, ya'll are both right. She had no clue what could be waiting for them on the other side. They even wrote a scene where opened the door and the Mountain Men had a .50 cal gun on the other side that mowed everyone down. Now she is going to get blow back from the alliance of the 12 clans, remember that she was in charge of an alliance before she entered into the alliance with Skaikru, but it's not for what you think. So from Lexa's POV, she has two options, save her people with minimal casualties or save them with an unknown quantity of casualties. For any good leader, the answer is obvious. She simply realized that Clarke and Skaikru, whom she thought were necessary to accomplish the goal she set out for, were no longer needed to do what she wanted: freeing her people from the Mountain. It'll be interesting to see where this goes next, no spoilers but it's really explosive. Even now, over 4 years since this aired live, people are still debating whether or not it was the right decision. And you should have what the subreddit looked like back then, S2-S3 was also the longest hiatus (like 9+ months because season 2 aired in the fall when the show is usually a mid-season/summer show) the show has ever seen and it drove most of us in Redditkru crazy. Hence why we know so much about these characters because we have spent entirely too much time analyzing them.

UPDATE: Part 2 will be out later this evening after 6 EST now.

Adam is Magic

Will you be double dropping parts 1 and 2 when it finally reaches YouTube too?

I guess this comment opened me up to a different mindset. But when I first watched this I really could not stand behind Lexa. Not even for the backstabbing but just strategically. She freed (lets say hundreds) of emaciated, weakened grounders and in exchange, the Mountain Men, a longtime enemy continues to live and create more reapers and possibly bomb even more towns/cities. She's even running the risk of the Mountain Men and Skaikru joining up to fight her people. I just couldn't stand behind that choice. If she fought with Skaikru she eliminates her one remaining enemy since she has brought the clans together and Skaikru will also fall in line as they helped free the remaining kids from Mt. Weather.

Will you be doing double drops next week also for episodes 1 and 2

I really hated what Lexa did here. Blood MUST have blood...that’s what she’s been preaching all season. Why would this be okay with her or her people? Why would she trust that the mountain men would stand with the grounders and not just exterminate the threat after they killed all the sky people?
