I loved watching you guys react to this episode! It's one of my favorites. As for Bill following the deal, Dipper never actually made a demand. Bill implied that he would give Dipper the password but never actually said it.

1) speaking only for myself Suraj, the issue is not trying to guess the answers to the mysteries but rather the WILD guesses. In Bill's first appearance he gets summoned by a ritual and Gideon even refers to him as a "demon". Now whether Gideon was being literal or metaphorical, the word "demon" is a good place to start asking questions about Bill and what he is. Instead you somehow jumped all the way to "HE'S THE UNIVERSE!" which is annoying NOT because you are trying to figure out the mystery but because it seems like you are ignoring the actual clues in the show. 2) Suraj also made a good observation here about how Bill turns the scene black-and-white when he makes an entrance, but notice that Dipper was asleep when that happened. That actually happened when Gideon first summoned him as well; the scene went black-and-white as Bill appeared and when he made his exit, Gideon, Soos and Mabel all jolted awake. And also the inside of Grunkle Stan's mind was also black-and-white, but Bill entered his mind while he was taking a nap. That should give some ideas as to how Bill operates. 3) As for Bill's apparent deal-breaking behavior. Notice what Dipper says before the handshake. Dipper: "Just one puppet?...Fine!" (he shakes hands with Bill) He never actually secured a promise from Bill that he would get useful information. Essentially he just handed over his body with no restrictions for free! Lesson to be learned kids. When making deals with mysterious supernatural beings, always be clear what the terms of the contract are!

BIll is still a demon, but Dipper didn't actually say the deal again to seal it. The handshake was just for the one puppet as Dipper only asked IF Bill could tell him the answer and stop the computer from imploding. Bill didn't specify his side of the bargain during the handshake. Dipper made a mistake of thinking Bill would be fair in giving them both positive outcomes. Bill did stop the computer from imploding by destroying it.

I think if I were to make a deal I would want Mindscape powers like Bill on the condition that I am free to use them as I please, not under contract to Bill, immune to manipulation on a possession, dreamscape, or physical standpoint from Bill, able to grant similar protection and "no harm clause" to loved ones of my past, present, and future yet to be with certainty. In exchange Bill can get one favor that does not violate the above conditions of my deal request.

I think Suraj just shouldn't ask questions and throw theories out in the middle of the episode. He does in fact talk the most. He should save those questions for the discussion, and maybe people wouldn't be so butthurt about it.
