FasterVaM is part of  MMDEditor pack that also contains many other VaM plugins: SuperMode, MMDPlayer, RenderToMovie, RenderToVR.

FasterVaM 3.1.2 Updates:

Fixed multiple issues with missing vars so the loading process gets more stable and robust.

Changed the loading process to a more transparent and safe one:

Once user activates the fasterVaM, the var files which are not used in the default/start scene are moved to a new folder "AddonPackagesAsync" and get loaded asynchoronously in background after the start scene is loaded.  User can deactivate fasterVaM simply by moving these var files back to AddonPackages folder. If some var files are in-directly used by plugins in the start/default scene, user can also move them back to AddonPackages folder to avoid errors.

i cannot get this to work. install as scene plugin, activate in custom menu, restart, still slow, vars still in addon packages

Hi, please make sure there is no special characters(Chinese/Japanese chracters) in the VaM installation path. Once you activate the option, depending on how many vars you have, it should start faster than before. You should see significant difference where you have more than 1000vars. Only version 3.1.2 moves var files to a new folder, version 2.9.0 doesn't move var files but anyway should make it start faster.

Why do you have to wait 1 to 2 days to download it at all? It didn't exist in the past, after buying it I could download it immediately, if I had known that I would have stayed with the old 2.9. Waiting about days is really too long, sorry

Sorry about that, it could be a misunderstanding so I updated the text of upgrade post to clarify it. You actually don't have to wait 1 or 2 days normally, it has been commited like that just in case if something critical happens, so far, it never happend, normally you get it in a few minutes or a few hours, I do as soon as I can.

How do I get rid of Faster Cam 2.9 I lost all my vars from my addon folder had over 6000 items

Problem I have with faster vam is once its activated, they are all gone from scene selection, I can only choose scenes saved in my custom folder

The var files in addonPackagesAsync get loaded only when the default scene loading is completed. So please set a default scene to open by default then it should work fine. Or you will see all scenes after you open the default scene from the scene browser.
