Oh my god, I can't believe it! We hit our second stretch goal just a few hours after the first! The Puppy in the White Lab Coat is breaking out the Valuable Belongings-to-Confetti Converter, the Cat of Mainly Dark Matter is firing up the Quantum Cake Locator, and the Dr. Scorch, the Boiler of Doom, has postponed its Conflagration Across the Nation plans in order to enjoy a festive oil-cocktail.

Each monthly Experiment will now include not only the hilarious essay on the craft and business of writing, but one of my own recipes from the Lab's Mostly Tamed Hot Plate. I've been asked to create a cookbook for years, so here's a baby version! I'll do stews, desserts, cocktails, roast beasts, a little bit of everything, and we'll include high-res fancy-pants photos to coax you into trying the recipe for yourself.

Thank you so much, all of you, I'm just floored and squished to death by your kindness and support. Why is "thank you" only two tiny words? I know how much it means to take money out of your budget every month, and I wish I could just apparate at each and every one of your houses and hug you.

The thing is...I didn't actually think we'd hit those goals so fast? So the next stretch goal, which involves me, Cat Valente, who Congenitally Cannot Draw, creating a comic to go along with the monthly Experiments, is pretty far off.
