Apologies for the lateness of the post. Life is beautiful, life is stupid, life is late. Deadlines are kicking me from one side to another, but the end is in sight.

Living on an island has its charms. There's an eldritch forest right outside my house, sunsets on the beach are unbelievable, and it's a really nice community of people. Quite a few of them contributed to The Rocketship, in fact.

However.

Having spent a good chunk of my life in California and other sunny climes, when winter starts closing its icy fingers around my little island, I DO NOT APPROVE. This winter, my pipes froze and burst, so I'm particularly displeased with Old Man Winter, Jack Frost, and Elsa.

This month's theme is: It's Cold Outside.

Just give me your best music about being cold (in love? in weather?), what you like to listen to when you're snuggled cozily inside and the wind is howling (take that, wind chill factor!), or what gets your blood moving when you're shoveling snow (AGAIN).

Rules Reminder:

-Three songs

-If it's not on Spotify, provide a link where it can be found

-Any genre, era, artist, style, etc. "Song" can also be loosely interpreted, I have no issue with spoken-word, for example.

-Though we do try to avoid promoting terrible people, everyone understands that sometimes you just love a thing and didn't know the artist was a suppurating dicktoad when we fell in love, and now we're stuck with the beautiful association and don't want to let the dicktoads win. That's fine, just keep it on this side of Butthole Jams: The Bin-Dweller's Collection. Or at least explain why it should come out of the bin!

-If you're wondering if a song you want to include "counts," the answer is always yes.

Don't forget, you can always come and discuss this or any other post, or just hang out, on the Discord server, where we seriously have not had one mean word in the seven months it has existed, and all the good parts of the internet exist without the bad. I love you guys so much.
