Hi, darlings.

I just wanted to apologize for rewards being late this month.

Life is just not being very nice to me right now. More sick family, more family passed on, more COVID on our island, and my wonderful, beloved cat, Lord Byron Stormageddon (pictured), is so very sick. As we speak he’s getting a blood transfusion in hopes that more blood will enable them to make some kind of diagnosis. As of tonight he is in the hospital in critical condition. His prognosis is extremely iffy.

All this has kind of...emotionally obliterated me. All the goodies and essays and excerpts and recipes are coming, I promise, I’m just a little bulldozed in the heart right now and struggling to keep up.

I love you all, and I hope you’ll understand. You won’t miss anything! But it might come all in a rush at the end of the month when I can stop crying for five minutes.

Thank you, every one of you, for your kindness and support, for your presence in my life, and your great goodness. I will try to get myself together ASAP, and be very occasionally as good as you are.
