Sooo goooooooooood. Luffy walking up those stairs and punching the embodiment of all the evils in the world is one of my favourite moments of anything ever Also amazed that you guys picked up on the Doflamingo emblem being around the place. Good shit :)

I'm sure you guys have noticed that one piece usually goes hard for about 10 to 20 episodes and then gets slow for a bit, but for about the next 100 episodes it's gonna be non stop fire.

i don't think anyones said this yet but the two legends garp was talking about are whitebeard and reyleigh whitebeard because hes a yonko and reyleigh because of his reputation and past accomplishments

This is why I love One Piece; the world building. To learn why Arlong was the way he is, with his distaste with humans from his own experience of discrimination, and Hachi's redemption arc... Truly, Hachi was always a pretty nice guy. And that punch at the end... WELL deserved~!

That's debatable. There are arguments that can be made both for and against that. But all of them are ridiculously strong anyways.

At this point, the anime does switch to Opening 11 (Share the World) but Crunchyroll doesn't have the rights to it so it stays with Opening 9. This opening does show characters you haven't seen yet but it doesn't show anything about them or their role in the story. Personally, I feel like the opening is safe to watch because it doesn't actually spoil the plot or any surprises but I know that others disagree on this.

I love One Piece because of the similarities to our world. There was and still is slavery and classism BS in our world but there is not always a Luffy who is willing to call out the BS for what it is. So seeing Luffy just punch the lights out of that enslaver is just so so freaking ePIC.

Also FYI Garp is as strong as an admiral but specifically chose to stay as a vice admiral for...some reason.

The design of the celestial dragons really gets me heated. If you notice, they wear bubbles around their heads because they have descended from their holy land to the polluted air of the lower world and its lower mortals. They don't wear these bubbles in their homeland.

Their design might also be inspired by the King of the Moon from the 1988 film The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Very similar looks.
