Glad you enjoyed it . The movie does come before the show and centers around senator Mora who is in the show here but they explained the lore enough that you don't need to see the movie first . And the movie has a very different tone than the show . There'll be a lot more of what you referred to as cheesy comedy in the future but it really is the heart of the show at least for me
