Hey everyone! :)

This video:

The video above is the opening of a (for now) abandoned project. The goal was to try and learn/apply a speedier style to the editing with larger skips (somewhat inspired by the format of Ilmango's minecraft channel), but in that regard, after a promising start I mostly failed to keep that up (perhaps it's because of the nature of the challenge, but perhaps also not haha). I may redo it at some point in a more extreme way with a more advanced approach (thinking no trees and no landscape pollution absorbtion, so literally ALL pollution should be converted to attacking biters... Is that even possible economically? We'll find out at some point, perhaps!). I wanted to share it with you anyway at some point, so I kept it for an otherwise empty moment, because:

Side Project:

I've been reviewing recordings and writing the script to conclude the post-launch part of the side project (of which the first 2 episodes are already released here on patreon (building the real base)). Given the amount of recorded material, this would turn into way too many episodes (like 10), which I don't want to happen especially for the later, more time consuming achievements. So rather than writing the script per episode as I usually do, I'm trying to "get the full picture" for the whole remainder of the 50 hour playthrough, so I can edit it down accordingly without getting caught up too much on the many side tours with varying degrees of interestingness and draggy-on-ness. It's quite a challenge to wrap my head around, but I think the end result will be worth it!

Warptorio:

I'm getting really excited for this series now, I am in the process of developing a cool and reproducable strategy to beat this mod in just a couple handfulls of warps (looking at around 12-ish), instead of the usual 70-100 warps people seem to go through! It's gonna be quite something :) In order to keep it interesting as a liveplay, it's also almost REQUIRED to have an almost speedrun-like strategy, or it will drag on with dozens and dozens of worlds to warp through. At the moment, I'm thinking Live play until deactivation of the autowarp timer, and main-project-style edited conclusion to finish it up (kind of like with the current side project - live until rocket launch, then edited for all achievements). Man this is gonna be a cool series :)

Main project:

I'm probably putting this on hold until the post-launch part of the side project is complete. It probably was a bad idea to run these 2 series side by side anyways, as they where way too similar (one with indestructible nests, one with indestructible biters :/). There would be no problem running it side-by-side with warptorio though!

Other:

Sorry for the kind of irregular posts and lack of "video progress" this month. I hope this post gives you some insights on what and why, and feel free to comment, make suggestions or ask questions on any of the above :)

Enjoy the vid!

I would love it if you did a VO for Biter Island DeathWorld. Could be an easy way to reuse old content.

Thanks for the update! Having a week go by without any update (even just hey sorry no vid this week, I’m heads down working hoping to have something next week) always makes me wonder what’s up. Really enjoyed this video! Also would love your thoughts on https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-373 at some point :)
