Hey again guys!

We have a new Pure Onyx release for you!

Since last month, we've added a new double team H scene between Onyx, FemCop, and the new male Cop.  This one is currently only available in the gallery since the new Cop enemy hasn't been added for combat testing yet.  We've also made some further fixes and improvements to the Onyx vs FemCop scene in preparation for the cinematic mode preview.

Among a number of performance improvements, AltairPL has made a couple important fixes that were affecting players with certain hardware setups.  One major fix is for players with unsupported display resolutions getting stuck on the "Press Any Key" screen when the game starts.  A second is for AZERTY/QWERTZ keyboard users unable to open the command console.

The Larva and Crawler enemies have received a lot of attention, as they now have all of their sound FX, two new attacks, some improved animations, far less glitchy AI, and new graphics FX.  The small ones can still get confused when they are angry and an obstacle blocks Onyx from them, but this should be fixed in the next update.

As usual, there are a lot more changes below, so please check out the change log before playing ^-^.

  • ** Hitting a Crawler will now agro both him and his swarm.
  • ** Fixed floating Larva/Crawlers during combat.
  • ** Added louder Crawler projectile splash SFX.
  • ** Added electrical FX when FemCop's forcefield spawns.
  • ** Crawlers will no longer face backwards when spitting at Onyx.
  • Added early version of FemCop + MaleCop vs Onyx H Scene to the Gallery.  Expect a significantly extended version + SFX and improved anims in the end-of-month release!
  • Added optimized (LOD) model for Onyx (should be a solid FPS boost during H scenes).
  • Changed key toggling in-game console to use key to the left from the 1 key on every keyboard layout.  This should resolve difficulties that AZERTY/QWERTZ (French/German) users had with finding the open/close console key.
  • Surveillance disks no longer drop if you already have the scene unlocked
  • Fixed critical issue that could bug out (heh) Larva/Crawler enemies, preventing their AI from restarting and making them un-killable.
  • Added SFX to Larva/Crawler enemies
  • Added splat FX when Larva enemies are squished.
  • Added Bite animation + improved GroundHit animation for Larva/Crawler enemies.
  • Larva/Crawler enemies will no longer "walk" backwards.
  • Added Spit attack to Crawlers
  • Added Ground Slam attack to Crawlers
  • Added time system.  In-game time (shown in top-right of menu) now passes when Onyx travels between areas (distance-based), and after H Scene fade-outs.  Day/Night artwork hasn't been added yet.
  • FemCop can no longer be hit while winding up to perform her Mule Kick counterattack
  • Eliminated nasty flickering shadow artifacts that often appear at edges of shadows on Onyx and FemCop
  • Improved Debug Viewer (F1 key) so that collider meshes are actually representative of the enemy's physics colliders + update in real-time.
  • Console command history may now be accessed via the up/down arrow keys (while console is open).
  • Console message log now scrolls using the Page Up/Down keys instead of up/down arrow keys.
  • Console commands may now be autocompleted/selected via Intellisense with the Tab key.  Shift+Tab selects in reverse.
  • Improved console text and color formatting
  • Overhauled code services/subsystems; mostly backend benefits but performance gains are possible for lower-end hardware
  • FemCop's forcefield now casts a reflection

Known Issues

Here are the newest/most relevant known issues.

  • Due to some code changes, Street Lord Wraxe can currently get stuck navigating around Onyx and the shop.
  • Still have to add some SFX + liquid FX for the latest H Scene.
  • Blocky shading artifacts appear on both FemCop and Onyx if they are covered in liquid while lit by FemCop's forcefield.  This is due to a shader conflict with the newly optimized liquid and the lighting technique used for the forcefield.  We're working on a fix ^-^.
  • Larva/Crawlers (and Vioreapers too) currently use humanoid bystander behaviors.
  • Crawlers' spit attack has a splash AoE where the projectile lands, but FX graphics aren't in for it yet, so it can appear as if Onyx is hit by nothing if she's standing nearby a landing spitball.
  • FemCop's force field doesn't emit light properly when the scene is mirrored.
  • Reflection on Onyx's shorts looks weird during FemCop H scene.  Will fix in next update (I failed >_> soon)!
  • It's possible for FemCop's forcefield to spawn on top of bystander enemies.
  • Splicer Thug needs new bystander animations before his section of the Chain Splicer's H scene.
  • At minimum zoom, you can see the incoming/outgoing Ball Drone used in the Runt's section of the Chain Splicer H scene before it's meant to appear.
  • Some of Wraxe's combat FX need to be updated to work with new animations.  Some may display as being rotated improperly or slightly out of position.
  • Charger's hitbox shifts slightly after he charges.  If he charges repeatedly this shift can add up to be significant.  It will soon correct itself however.
  • Enemies can appear floating above the shop characters after an H scene, but should fix themselves quickly.
  • Liquid won't show on Onyx during the Thug's solo H scene.  This will be fixed soon.
  • The liquid spurt FX on one of the Thug's H scene finishers sometimes doesn't play.  We're aware of the cause and seeing if it pops up anywhere else before fixing it.
  • Infinite jabs are way overpowered against bosses right now.  Jab spam will be changed to a standing combo soon-ish (among other combat improvements).
  • Street Lord Wraxe sometimes blocks the view of H scenes with his big fat wraxe when he's a bystander.

Console Commands

The game isn't balanced that great yet, so some people have asked if there are ways to bypass bosses or get some help.  You can use console commands for this while the game is still rough around the edges. Press the  ` (backtick/tilde) key to open the console.  Type any of the commands below and press enter.  Press ` again to close the console.

  • godmode on/off - Makes Onyx indestructible and impervious to Exhaustion.
  • onepunchmode on/off - Gives Onyx the ability to kill anything with one attack.
  • setwave # - Sets the enemy wave to the number specified.  Changes will not be reflected in enemies until the current wave is wiped out.  If you want to fight Street Lord Wraxe, who spawns on Wave 20, then set the wave to 19 and wipe out the remaining enemies.
  • setgamespeed # - Multiplies the game speed by the number specified.

Hello, I just joined recently, really happy and excited to support Pure Onyx. Tried the game too, you guys did amazing job, the game is fun to play and sex sequences are a visual delight lol. Just wanted to add two suggestions and I understand if they don't make into the game but if they do that will be amazing. My first suggestion is a passive idea, it's great to have some monsters in the game but please don't make the game excessively monster based, a balance between human enemies and monsters will be good as there are too many games, movies that feature monsters. Human sex sequences are actually hotter to watch imho. My second suggestion is a big one and I don't know if it's possible but maybe later you can add some special abilities that unlock with progress for Onyx and Femcop that allow them to initiate different sex sequences on last enemy of the wave such that they will be in dominating position and the last enemy will be submitting, kind of like sexual fatality lol. I think it's a good idea and will add more variety to the game. Anyway, excellent work and I look forward to support you guys and see this game progress further.

As far as I've seen, there is legit no scenes with anyone that isnt human/humanoid. Personally a bit disappointed in that but that's me, a monster enthusiast. As for your second suggesto, I'm super down for that. That sounds both cool, and sexy. Heck yeah. (Super drunk right now. Halloweeen yeeeeaaaaah!)

Subjectivity

There will definitely be monster sex scenes, but they haven't been added yet, because they're more complicated. As far as I know, every enemy in the game, humanoid, monster and robot, will all have sex scenes eventually. Variety!

Yeah, more Humanoid Enemies would be appreciated. There are Tons of Games with Bestiality out there, but Pure Onyx looks so good and promising, that it would be a Shame to waste it on that!

new onyx group scene: i half expected Onyx to climax between her exchange with the femcop. also, cop dude could use some puddling during his climax. fluid animation where cum is running down Onyx's legs during the climax scene would be hot. ;)

Thanks for reporting it! This one is already fixed and will be in a patched release we will be putting out as soon as we fix one other bug involving bosses getting stuck during combat.

Fluid FX will be added in the next release ^-^. New scenes are such a long process that they usually get a few iterations of improvements over the course of a few releases. I'm still working on improvements for the Onyx vs FemCop solo scene as well :D

Great update! Can't wait to see the non-humanoids get involve too. I was hoping to see the femcop submit to the malecop during their scene with Onyx, would've been great. But it was still an awesome scene. I'm enjoying the momentum you guys have had lately. One thing I've noticed is I think is that, at least in the gallery, at the end Femcop/Onyx's scene the electricity doesn't show or sound anymore. Is that a known bug? Thanks a lot!

To clear up any misconceptions, FemCop isn't a playable character ^-^. We're including H scenes for other female characters in the gallery is all. That being said, we're looking at utilizing skills and consumables for Onyx to activate H scenes. As for additional player characters, we've designed the game to allow for it, but certainly want to focus on Onyx for now ^-^.

Thanks for pointing that out :D I forgot to copy over animation events when we updated a few of those animations D: -- there are no SFX either. I'll include this fix with the patched release.

Maybe I'm an odd man out on this, but I'd actually like to see the option to bind a separate key for stomping. I'm having a bit of trouble not stomping when I mean to kick (in process of moving downward) and staying in line with the little crawlers when I try to stomp them.

We're actually changing this in a future update ^-^. It will be L1+Kick by default (L1 will act as a modifier function for the face buttons). This modifier button will be remappable though, as is Kick :D.
