Sprite Updates! - 2/3/23 (Patreon)

Ok! So, according to the poll I took earlier, Victor was the number 1 winner (out of everyone that needs to be done before the next update, that is.) So, here he is! Now, I don't have very much experience drawing skinnier folk, but I'm pretty happy with how he came out C:

His other two outfits have been made as well, so please look forward to seeing those!

Then, we have something different that wasn't on the list. One that may cause some people to be unhappy, if I'm being honest, given that Jehu is pretty popular. That's right, I'm updating Jehu... but in a different way than I usually update.

Updates are typically visual-only, sometimes meant to reflect some core idea of the character or to shore up the actual art used. In this case, however, I'm making a course-correcting pivot.

I have a couple of reasons behind this update, but the general idea is:

-Make Jehu look less naturally approachable

-Make Jehu look more "dull"

-Increase how old/tired he looks

-Have his expressions be more subtle, less expressive*

-(Fixed his ears)

Again, I have specific reasons for making this change, and it's a noticeable enough change that I understand why someone might be upset. One key thing to note about this is that Jehu will be getting significant writing updates to match his new appearance and demeanor. I'm not making this change lightly, but please know that I have full confidence that this will play positively into his character arc and will make his story much more compelling. I apologize if you don't like the direction he's going with this, but please look forward to seeing how Jehu's route is reshaped going forward.
